Is everyone gonna require ToM and black spindle for hard mode?

It's not that some are elitist but they're great signs that show you've completed the pre-requisite of Normal Mode. There is nothing wrong with that, at all. It's a good way to manage who comes and goes. What it should be is incentive for those players that don't have it, or haven't completed the raid to start up their own group. Do not join a random on LFG. Start your own. Direct your own raid. Research the fights and take your strike. Being friends too. Don't think of it as "elitist scum". Think if it as self motivation to get your gear and do better. Instead of taking it out on players who have already achieved what you obviously have not. (Not you in particular of course)

27 RepliesIdk why people require that shit???? No one in my set raid group uses them either it's a waste of an exotic slot. I personally use the Exotic solar sword. It helps clear any big names enemy's such as the knight carrying aura when fighting oryx. Raids are all about teamwork. Use it

The 1000 yrd stare with triple tap is a very close second in total damage because of the faster fire rate and 4 shot + triple tap (5 per mag) but takes a little time to reload. FYI: We carried a random 290 through last night. Not even sure if he shot Oryx but he did manage to detonate his ogre blight every time and didn't die at inconvenient times. [spoiler]he couldn't jump to save his life so the jumping puzzles actually took longer then all of the other parts combined[/spoiler]

3 RepliesI could understand touch of malice but the spindle is just way too hard for me to get. I've tried all three times without success. I still need the touch but I -blam!-ed up on my tian and hunter by finding too many before doing the quest. Luckily I haven't found any on my warlock yet so gonna try again.

Off course don't want to spend more then 2 hours in this easy raid . Just Grint your weapons like all of us

Has nothing to do with being better or an elitist do u want to spend an hour or 4 to 6 hours trying to beat raid? With these weapons u get it done a lot quicker way more efficient. I've done it wout them takes a lot more time plus headache so it's all about time. If you like to waste that much time go for it if not grind till you get these weapons but complaining is only screwing yourself

Some dummies already require it for Normal Mode. So I can guarantee it will be. I have both and have to say, my runs have gotten a lot smoother since me and a few more of my friends have gotten them both. But neither should be required for Normal, that's kinda silly. For Hard though... Well I don't want to say required, but let's just say I sure am glad most of the guys I'll be raiding with Friday have them.

If you don't have Touch of Malice it means one of 2 things: You have not completed the normal version of the raid or you are too lazy to farm calcified fragments and/or hadium flakes. Either way, you have work to do before HM with my group. Black Spindle is optional as long as you have a good sniper.

So just do the time equivalent of 2 normal raids and you get ToM Black spindle took me three tries, which is less than the time of doing the entire raid If you still think requiring black spindle/ToM is being elitist, than i guess im the biggest elitist there is!

In all honestly ToM makes any pve activity a breeze... Ohh im low on health.. Let me just 1 shot three acolytes and instantly regain all my health.. And doing the raid last night with four of the rudy things firing oryx didnt even seem like an end game boss.... That being said they arent required... They are just very very useful.. However for hard raid... Who knows... It really depends how much of a bump in difficulty they will pull...
