To all my fellow Xbox Guardians.
This December Microsoft will be introducing the Xbox One Elite.
And if you're in the market for a "next gen" console, this is the cream of the crop.
Not only does the Xbox 1 Elite come with the Elite controller, but the real gem is a 1 TB SSD hybrid hard drive. (Too bad Microsoft didn't introduce this at launch because the PS 4 wouldn't stand a chance).
This is an amazing deal for 499. SSD's are light years ahead of and better than traditional HDD's because the SSD's have no moving parts and data retrieval is nearly instantaneous.
Good stuff Microsoft.
Edit: The intent of this post was not to start a "console war" so my bad with the title.
I'm just impressed with Microsoft's decision to sell the Elite at 499 including both the controller and an SSDHD. there can't be much of a profit made for selling it at this price point.

1 ReplyThat moment when you realize that you can put whatever kind of hard drive you want in a ps4 without buying another one
-
Bump.

It is rare for any develpoer to make money on a console. The real money comes from the games. The consoles are just meant to break even.

2 Replies>PC gamer >sees this stupid shite still going on >rip >consoles will most likely destroy themselves. >I like turtles

You do realize Xbox is only doing this because PS has kicked their ass since tge consoles were released. The elite stuff is cool and all but as a Sony Pony it doesn't scare me one bit.
-
2 RepliesThey really shouldent, ps have sold 25 million, Xbox has only sold 12 million
-
4 RepliesWhats funny is all you Xbot fanboys probably have some kind of Sony product in your household or in your car and you don't even realize it? Lol. Supporting Sony one way of the other.
-
2 RepliesIs this a troll post? You could easily upgrade the hard drive on the ps4. Just take out the old hd and replace it with a 1tb or higher. The only inconvenience is reinstalling the data. Xbox already allows a external hard drive used by the USB port. So why would an "elite" bundle make all the difference? If you want the controller just by it separately.

Lol ok

Its just sad that this is going on, playstation fans stop trying to slander xbox and its fans, as a playstation owner and supporter, its just embarrassing. Can we all just sit down and take pride is the fact that in the end of the day, we all play games. Period.
-
Not really. Xbox elite still can't play my ps or nintendo exclusives

1 ReplyJesus christ, this post is only 3 days old and it has 2000+replies. You really kicked the fanboy hornet's nest OP lol
-
Not bad on microsofts part but the consoles are still basically the same in my eyes
-
1 ReplyWho cares!!!! Neither PS or Xbox gives me a paycheck so as long as there is great games to play I don't care who sells more.

Sony should be more concerned about the ps4's lack of Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing®
-
Solid state drives are not "light years" ahead you obviously don't know what a light year is ugh console gamers!

3 RepliesMy PS4 has an SSD. :P I wish Xbox let us switch out the internal hard drives, so I wouldn't have to buy a new one.

When you're falling behind in sales, that's just what Microsoft needs - a MORE expensive console! :D
