What is the big deal with people who are lying about having completed the raid and pretending to know what they are doing? I mean seriously if you haven't done a part of the raid before say it.. people will not bite your head off or look down on you, if you pretend you have done it before and you haven't you just make the raid harder for everyone who has. I'm guessing destiny has become elitist where only the good can complete a raid, seriously if you haven't done it before man up and say you don't know what your doing don't wing it! What i have always loved about destiny is people will sherpa and help you so speak up and don't drag your team down!!
Edit raiding tonight send me a message if you want to play

I have done exactly 0 raids. I want to do Crota and VoG first and can't seem to find others who want to do it or are actually in my timezone

I have only finished warpriest on normal it easier than I thought it would be

1 ReplyIm fine with helping somebody who clearly says they haven't done the raid...but if somebody joins my fireteam and acts like they know what they're doin it and they have it 100% down when they have t done it ever then they would just get kick...cocky people in a raid that they haven't completed before is the definition of scrubbbbb

1 ReplyI used to take the time to teach other people how do to VOG and CE, but people are getting lazy nowadays. Destiny players don't have to the drive they did during year one.
-
Go to youtube, search kingsfall raid, watch and learn how to do the raid, then raid and stop stuffing your team mates over, be honest

Have one of these people in almost every raid group im in, im all for helping new people out and showing them what/how to do something but dont join in and run your mouth and the fail. just yesterday while at oryx had 1 guy when we go to get the bombs from orgers after his name popped up instead of running back to the bubble he would just jump in place of the bomb. did it 4times and every time he bitched at why he died and how other people were messing up...

7 RepliesBecause there are fewer understanding people like you and more elitist pricks who don't want their precious time playing a video game wasted by those they deem inferior. I can understand if you were performing surgery and didn't want some idiot off the street assisting, but come on. It's a f-cking video game. So sorry to butt in on your busy schedule and add excruciating seconds and minutes to your uber-l33t raid speed run.

I joined a group the other day. Already cleared it but needed it for my 310 artifact. Started at warpriest and noone had made it past golgoroth. Kept with it, taught the mechanics. We killed oryx in less time than daughters. Not too hard to show people what to do if they can listen.

Its due to the enormous criticism people get for not having completed a raid. I never completed any of them and I gotten criticized for it. Its almost as if I not completing one is a judgement on them?
-
Bump, if I'm FTL in a raid and a guy is being a moron and asking what to do I kick him. If he wouldn't have lied about knowing what to do then I wouldn't have looked like an asswhole.

2 Replies"I've done the raid 14x" *checks kings fall completions* "You have 2 completions"
-
We had one in our group who said he had completed it but as the raid went on we started to doubt it Our thoughts were confirmed when he got the relic on the daughters fight and ran around asking where the knight was that he had to steal the aura off He was a good player however and once we explained the mechanics he was fine. We still cleared the raid in under 2 hours

Edited by Badshah Kazi: 10/22/2015 10:34:59 AMIn my first ever run, I said to the group I joined as soon as I was in their party that I've seen videos on how to do the encounters but it was my first ever run. Then they jokingly said "You must 310 light or else you can't raid with us" but then we all laughed and they said it was cool. We proceeded to beat the raid in 90 mins. It's always better to admit you haven't done it rather than pretend you know what you're doing and mess up.
-
The main reason i want people with have done it and choose higher light is so that goes quickly and smoothly. Last week i got a team and we completed it in 1 hour with 0 wipes and maybe 5 deaths between all of us

1 ReplyIf you look into LFG sites most of them list "Must be 300+ and must know what they're doing. Have X weapon and be X class character" it's really off putting for people trying to get a group.

Sadly there is a lot of people in the community who are very discriminate and harsh towards people who haven't done the raid before and I totally understand why they lie out of fear of been booted from the raid. I've witnessed it myself when I joined up with randoms previously, there was one guy who said he had done it before but kept messing up when he volunteered to grab the relics, caused a few wipes and everyone except me was hurling abuse at him. I defended him and they all left, we got a new team, showed him the way to do the raid, completed it and he was so happy it was really rewarding.

1 ReplySometimes it's hard to find a group the first or second time you do a raid cause everyone wants experienced raiders In their group , so I could see people lying to get some experience.
-
1 ReplyI'll do it with new people but if we can't stagger oryx before his clap in two or three tries. I'm out
-
4 RepliesGot a guy who knew how to do Oryx. > He gets The Heart > Gets Kingsbane > Reached 300 MFW I sherpa'd.
-
You can check their Grimoire & it'll say the number of completions.
-
Iv never beaten a raid :/
-
I joined a team that said "know what your doing" Vs "Need experience" Lol told him I hadn't done it before and he said as long as I don't mess up
i didn't
9 RepliesPeople won't let me in if I don't lie. This raid is literally impossible to beat
-
3 RepliesTo be honest, the raid's not even that hard. If everybody is coordinated and communicates well, you can complete it in less than two hours. If you don't know what you're doing, just spend a little time on youtube before trying it. If you go in blind, you're putting your entire team at a disadvantage.

Truthfully, if I ever need to lfg for a raid spot, I usually only need one person. So my requirement is 290+ light, with kingsbane or the ToM emblem
