Raiders mistook me for a 12 year old boy.
I'm a 30 year old female gamer. (Too old to be a gamer girl.)
Edit: I mean woman not girl by this.
We were at least 15 min in when my husband said she is over there. Then someone said "she"?
The mood quickly changed everyone was talking more and joking around a lot.
Edit: Yeah I was just sharing how it felt being a squeaker. I just feel kind of bad for kids because no one wants to raid with them.
Edit: Thanks for all the comments this has been fun to read. I love reading on the forums and have received a lot of help through them. It's the only reason I have black spindle honestly.

3 RepliesThe worst raid I ever had was with a bunch of random red necks (who apparently knew each other) constantly talking over the top of one another without pause. Just a flow of meaningless words all thrown together.. I would take a squeaker over that any day

Happens all the time, was raiding with a woman the other day, she sounded like a 12 yo boy over Xbl too. She was generally pretty quiet so Probably would have taken me a while to work it out if I hadn't seen her Dames of destiny tag when we were in orbit.

I don't like their voice but most of all I just hate how they always think they know everything and can't do anything wrong. Like they will die and blame others

I don't think it's the sound of the voice itself of a younger person that bothers me. It's that they seem to insist on using it non stop. About everything. Wether you want to hear it or not. They speak non stop, without a pause, and instantly jump to 10 subjects in one breath. If I never hear yolo or swag on a mic again it will be too soon. They say it to them self (in what I guess they think is their cool voice) and laugh casually as they say it again like its some new catch phrase that they came up with on the spot. If they speak like a normal person that's there as a group to accomplish a goal. They don't bother me at all.

This happens to me so much hahahah. It's hilarious when they realize I'm not a 12 year old boy. Some people notice right away, but others really don't. It doesn't help my mic is super low.

I get immediately kicked from games just because I have a high pitched voice. I wish you guys just wouldn't care because not all of us are annoying idiots.[spoiler]yes, yes I know there are some people like that, but not all of us[/spoiler]Please give us a chance before kicking. Don't mind sqeakers as long as they don't start screaming had a friend of a friend start yelling ooooohhh as a guy began to cream us in trails I kicked him half way through

I'm 37 and raid with a group of mid to late 20 year olds. I always have a blast listening to them smack talk. Keep searching, and you'll eventually find a group that you just mesh well with. Makes all the difference in the satisfaction of the game.
