There's a window right next to my door. When people come and knock on the door I lean out the window and sp00k them. A friend of mine threatened me with a gun last year, so I'm going to keep my dad's sword close by just in case. (It wasn't a real gun, the guy doesn't have it in him)

I'm a sucker for blades, so i'm obligated to ask, what type of sword is it?

It's a cutlass. Owned by my great my great grandfather. It's an old family relic.

Edited by Masque of Night: 10/15/2015 1:43:38 AMIs there a story behind the heritage? You know, like where he got it from, or what for. I know sabres had a place in military history for a while before firearms became the common weapon, but not sure about a cutlass. Even if not, still a cool relic to have. It's not as old as yours, but I inherited my grandfather's bayonet from when he served in World War II.

From what I know, my great great grandfather aquires an authentic pirate cutlass through one means or another, and it's been a family heirloom ever since.

Good enough, you plan on passing it down to your kids? If you have kids, or plan to in the future.
-
I do, that is if my father passes it down to me. I have 3 siblings, and I'm not the eldest.

Ah, understandable. I got off track and forgot it wasn't yours, or at least not yet. lol
