This is absolute garbage.
It makes perfect sense why you designed the current loot system in King's Fall to be terrible; it was designed with this (highly likely) paid-for consumable in mind the entire time.
I just killed Oryx on my Titan and guess what I got? 2 shards. This is disgusting. If your company has even a shred of integrity left (doubtful), you'll make sure this item never sees the light of day as it is currently designed.

Is there a chance that this will be an in-game drop? Sure. Is it highly suspicious that Tess Everis has this disclaimer with these consumables popping up in the database? Yes, yes it is.

1. It doesn't hurt to let Bungie know exactly where the community stands and the backlash they'll receive if they do something as stupid as this.

1 ReplyI would just like to point out with the update that came out this week those items were added to the data base and with them making moldering shards even more common because they weren't all ready common enough I can tell you now he is either lying or they WILL be obtainable through some means because the drop rates for everything are trash..... Perhaps for a reason

I think it's more likely that the consumables she sells will be similar to last years jackolyte(pumpkin for your head) and the bat swarm spawn modifier. But maybe now they'll make these consumables for more holidays. Like a Christmas consumable that you wear/modifies your spawn animation. And then maybe a New Years one too. I think that's more likely.

Luke Smith has said it twice now. Once with the Vestian Dynasty 347(Which is now the Boolean Gemini) and recently with the exotic rocket launcher that was datamined some time ago. Meaning this. If it is not in the game yet? They have no obligation to fill us in on what it does.

It's already been confirmed that those wouldn't, nor were they ever planned on being sold at Tess. The consumables were originally to be sold from speaker with one of the existing currencies (not silver), but due to bugs with the item, they took it out.

1 ReplyI can tell you right now if this is bought instead of earned somehow (thru either luck or "buying" it thru xur or whatever), I'm out. 100% gone. That is not an economy I support. I bought the silver, got my emotes. I'm happy to pay a bit for something that makes the game funny or interesting. Plus it funds future expansions. But paying for better stuff? No way. Splitzkies.

Obviously im with op and his fears but to me that consumable looks like it was going to be another redbull promo down the line not sold in shop, based on the similarities of the actual coonsumable to focused light and the descriptions of them both. Personally i highly doubt bungie would be suicidal enough to try putting p2w in, the risk of trashing the whole francise is surely too big.

1 ReplyIt sucks not getting loot from the raid sometimes. In my opinion it would suck more if I got everything I wanted each time. That's part of the fun is not knowing what your going to get. It also drags the expansion out longer which is a good thing. I would hate to be maxed out so quickly.
