Can we get a current-gen graphic update?
Coming out of the Battlefront beta and back to Destiny on my ps4, and it looks like im on a ps2. >_>
Love the game, but these graphics need some serious smoothing and an fps bump.
Edit : to all those saying supers and textural effects, mob effects, etc. would crash the game, you must not have played Walker Assault in SWBF's beta. You want to talk about a lot of shit going on at once and [i]still[/i] looking crisp at 60fps..lol
Edit 2 : Maybe to help better clarify, the ps2 reference is a bit of exaggerated sarcsam. I'm genuinely just a sarcastic bastard. Im speaking about the frame rate alone. Destiny's graphics are vibrant and the art is stellar, but think about seeing it at 60fps. I think it would make a lot of the animations and backgrounds in the game look much cleaner. If you haven't lurked my Bungie profile and seen I've played this game more than a person should, I do indeed have mad love for it and just want to see it reach its full potential.
Edit 3 : I have seen the interview with Bungie reasoning why is runs 30fps in 1080. It is logical, and maybe it really is just the hardware. It just looks really choppy compared to other games I have for both the Xbox One and PS4. Would honestly prefer [i]900p[/i] at 60fps.

doesnt matter how many fps the console puts out, your tv should be doing the muscle and giving you 200fps+ feel with the upscalling/frame filling. This aspect alone has Halo 4 on the 360 look and play better than destiny can hope for.

I started using a Darblet with PS4 on a monitor and it makes a world of difference if you can swing the cash. Mine is set at about 85%

I expect that the graphic update you want will be coming with destiny 2. I doubt they are making that for last gen. I think this game was originally being developed for last gen right around the time next gen dropped and they had to change focus at the last minute. I also think this is why destiny doesn't really feel complete. They were heading one direction with last gen and changed directions mid way when they realized last gen was here.

The new raid recently is so glitchy due to lag it's almost unplayable. I play with the same six people all whom have a high speed internet connection both upload and download. Yet we consistently red bar. It's ridiculous no other game lags like this even Warframe which uses a similar peer to peer system.

While it's possible, a graphical update on consoles would be an enormous patch, probably up wards of 40gb.

2 RepliesAm I the only one in here that isn't concerned with graphics this much? I grew up coming from the ps1, genisis, n64 etc. I've never judged a game off it's graphics, and never will. Yeah, they look nice, but good graphics can be slapped on a bad game. I'd rather play a good game with bad graphics, than a bad game with good ones. It's all so superfluous to me.

Xbox One is my preferred console but their is a pretty significant graphics difference between Xbox and PS4 for Star Wars Battlefront. Downloaded it on both. I get most multiplats for Xbox but no time was put into the Xbox One version of this game.
