I am the worst pvp player ever. No one is worse than me.
Now I have to do really amazingly well in pvp and get kills with a sword or no exotic?
That's really horrible. I gave up immediately.

3 RepliesSo many people encouraging cheating to finish the quest. That is the kind of behavior Bungie is promoting with these quest lines that force PvP

Only took 2 games of rumble. Best way to do it imo. Just sit around doorways/corners. Play the old maps, most people that play there are low tier. Just make them come to you.
-
Kill people with the hilt. Trust me won't take long
-
You don't have to do amazing. It's really simple.
-
Just whack at them with your handle.
-
Umm. Just hilt people to death. Two hits kill.
-
Unless you really can't play the game for some medical reason, you can do this portion of the quest. I promise you. If you need to sit by the heavy spawn point on control the whole game, do it. Sit in a corner and wait for people to come up to you. This isn't how the game is meant to be played, but since it's forced PVP, anything goes. I feel for ya, but you can do this dude, I promise you. I suck at PVP (compared to most these pros), and I managed it in 3 games. Lots of people are in your boat, running around with the sword hilt. Control is not super try hard right now, they are playing other games. If you like, wait to do it during trials, it will be even weaker competition then.

Do rumble , u don't need ammo just use the hilt. 2 hits get a kill or just do mayhem and go crazy crazy crazy till the sun goes down !
-
For titan use striker with juggernaut charge and swing. Hunter use invisible. Warlock have no expirence trying
-
Lol you have to do amazingly well in crucible to get an exotic sword? I own all three and this is news to me
-
It's no jolly holiday, that's for sure. That one requires legitimate skill. As for sword kills you may be bad, but you will eventually get a kill. Even if you get a single kill a game, you will eventually get it. Who knows, maybe along the way you might surprise yourself. A final tip, if you get heavy ammo, guard. Guarding is incredibly effective. I got hit by a panic-nova while guarding and managed to not only survive but cause the warlock to kill himself.

Just hop into rumble and charge around bludgeoning people with the hilt, don't need heavy ammo to complete it. Doesn't take too long this way.

Edited by VoidAndWord: 10/8/2015 9:01:12 PMYou're never gonna get it unless you try. It's not impossible to get, it's actually pretty straight forward and trust me I'm not a good PvPer either. Edit: I even hilted people to death. You don't even need heavy ammo.
-
Practice - then know that you only have to do it once. After that you can skip the crucible steps FOREVER!!!
-
Don't give up! Look, just like anything in life, if you want to get good at something, just practice. Might be frustrating at first but you'll get the hang of it. Hang in there and practice, I promise it'll pay off. Nobody is born with the gift to dominate in gaming, it just comes with practice. Good luck and I hope you stay with it.

Really easy man. Go into classic rumble with your sword, camp around the heavy ammo. Bam. Should be done in 2-3 games.
-
Block, run to target, block again, slice. Repeat if necessary.

Edited by jjh42: 10/8/2015 5:55:21 PM5 rounds of rumble. Don't bother with the heavy ammo, you'll just end up dead trying to get it. Just crouch camp a corner and smack them in the back and finish them off with a second hit while they're spinning around trying to figure out what happened. Or steal a kill when they're weakened. Hour, tops . Fortunately, you don't lose progress with deaths.
-
Grab two buddies and go into rumble and kill each other with the hilt. Even without heavy ammo you can use the hilt to kill people via melee. Should take only a couple rounds to get 25. You don't lose points for dying. People give up to easy
-
Go into rumble and smack everything with your hilt. You'd be surprised how effective it is. I'm a pretty bad pvp player, and I got it done in about 8 matches
-
Yo wut bruh stap complainin and jus play da game bruh
-
Honestly, do the rumble get 5 kills and leave nonsense if needed. Or you can camp with the hilt and steal kills like I did xD
-
Get a friend and play rumble and have them let u kill them
-
I like control. Then dry sword everyone
-
Pro tip: Mayhem (when it's not rumble)
-
If Mayhem is available, use that. I'm not great at pvp by a long shot, but in Mayhem, it's not too hard to get sword kills. You get heavy ammo all the time so you get plenty of chances, and a lot of people, if you flank, won't see you coming since they're usually too busy with the other people. There's only one pvp part to it, and it counts for all 3 swords. It's worth toughing it out. It's just 25 kills. Even if it takes a few hours, you'll only need to do it the one time for 3 amazingly powerful weapons.
