Taken King still "unavailable" or "not available" on Xbox One
We have 3 Xbox Live accounts on our Xbox One. Mine is the main one since I am the adult, so any purchases made via console fall under my account. However, my boys have money on their accounts, so sometimes I'll make a purchase online via their account. The expansion pass was probably ordered on my account, but either of the boys probably downloaded the DLCs once they became available. But it's impossible for me to know who did what since the purchase of the expansion pack does not show up in any of our purchase histories.
In any case, once the Taken King digital download was made available for pre-order, my boys started to try to get it. It has always said "unavailable" on the console and "not available" online no matter whose Xbox Live account we were signed in on. Trying to buy it in-game doesn't work either.
Had we known ahead of time that all DLCs had to be purchased and downloaded under the same account, we would have.
How can my boys get the Taken King digital download for $39.99? How can they get the pre-order items?

27 RepliesHi MAGNET se, As Anidien mentioned, you must have the licenses for Destiny, The Dark Below, and House of Wolves on a single account in order to qualify for The Taken King $40 offer. If you're unsure which accounts own which licenses, contact Microsoft Xbox Support for help. They may also be able to assist you in transferring licenses between accounts, if their policies allow it. All character data and account progress is stored on Bungie's servers, and not on your console. As long as you continue to log in using the same Xbox Live accounts, your characters and progress will be unaffected by license or console changes.

1 Replyhi bungie i did the warpriest the totems and golgoroth this week just last night actually and i got the shell from the totem chest but i didnt get crap from the warpriest like NOTHING ME AND MY FIRETEAM KILLED HER AND EVERYBODY GOT SOMETHING EXCEPT FOR ME and that was the first time that i did the raid well this week and also at golgoroth i was EXTREMELY EXPECTING ANY PIECE OF ARMOR THAT HE GIVES but i didnt get ANYTHING!!!!!! i spent over 4 hours just starting it from the begging so that i could get my weapons or armor and nothing that was a complete waste of my time i am EXTREMELY PISSED OFF i want what i deserve from the raid so bungie if your reading this i want my stuff that i rightfully deserve because i spent 4 hours on getting loot and nothing pleze give me what i deserve

10 RepliesI think this is the root of my issue. I bought Destiny with expansions 1&2 on my Xbox but I most likely bought them with my younger brother's account, he has since moved away for college and has his own Xbox, and I'm stuck with the Taken King showing as unavailable.. Since the DLC is downloaded on my Xbox already it wouldn't even allow me to purchase the older expansions again even if I wanted to to get the Taken King.

6 RepliesThe Taken King digital download edition can only be purchased from an account that directly owns both ear 1 expansions. Having access to an expansion owned by another account, via Digital Rights Management features, is insufficient. Other editions of The Taken King do not have this requirement. https://www.destinythegame.com/taken-king/wheretobuy If you have questions regarding purchase history, you should be able to contact Microsoft or Sony and have those answered.

Xbox is aware of the issue and has issued some refunds for the content." Year 1 DLC was not user specific, if you purchased the DLC it was available console wide. TTK is user specific meaning you must have purchased the prior content on your account to access this, AND after purchasing TTK, it will only be available on your account and no one else on your xbox can access it. Hoping Xbox will help Bungie fix their scam.
