Is anyone else disgusted by the quality of rocket launchers in this DLC?

I'm also talking PvE here. I don't use Rockets in crucible.[spoiler]Corrective Measure since '84[/spoiler]Perks are universal. I don't care about your awesome roll on your Smolder or Choleric Dragon cause they're garbage launchers. [b]How many rockets you carry doesn't matter, because a roll with tripod or field scout will max that out when combined with rocket ammo boots. [/b][i]Getting tracking added to your rocket launcher with cluster bombs because you have the Taikonaut is great and all, but [b]IF YOUR BLAST RADIUS AND VELOCITY ARE LOW, IT'S STILL A SHITTY ROCKET LAUNCHER[/b][/i]
The only good rockets appear to be The Vertigo and the generic Suros version you can get from the Gunsmith.
Just for clarification. A rocket launcher is to deliver splash DPS to an area. The most important stat is Blast Radius. How big the blast is. The next most important stat is Velocity. How fast the blast gets where it's going. If one of these is low, it's a shit launcher end of story. Doesn't matter what perks you got, or what exotics help it.

At least we have Truth. I have the Choleric Dragon SRT-49 and it's pretty good to me at least. Got Grenades & Horseshoes and Danger Close.

My truth has maxed blast radius and it usually aggressively gets to its target.

But you did mention Vertigo. That thing is a beast for both pve and pvp. Best legendary RL in the game right now.

Got a ash factory with Max velocity, life support & cluster bombs, it's gonna be sooooo good upgraded

They've made rocket launchers into anti-materiel weapons. Useful on larger, slower-moving prey like tanks or bosses. If you want CC ability, then use a Machine Gun. Rockets are meant to take down big prey

I have a vertigo with cluster bombs. Goes pretty well with ticonaught helm. Its on my titan.

Choleric Dragon (in use on Warlock) and The Vertigo (In use on Hunter) seem pretty good. Not familiar with any others yet

2 RepliesThink about it. Year 1 was overfilled with rocket launchers. The raid almost required it. And the pedestal the ghorn sat on was obsurd. I think it was the right move going away from that a bit. Kingsfall has almost no need for rocket launcher on raid bosses. Snipers are the most powerful anymore. I think it's a good move. Not mad at all

Honestly, I'd say the only bad rocket is The Smolder. Every other Rocket in TTKing has good/great Blast Radius and I can get over Velocity real quick when BR looks good. The former isn't even really a factor for me, just BR, Reload Speed, and RoF.

Got one today with max blast radius, tripod, and clusterbombs. A "meh" RL last month, now it's an OMG Launcher. (Solar, too - ya hear me, Taken Captains?)

the launcher on my titan is great near max blast radius kinda slow velocity but it travels fast in my eyes so i don't see a problem with them... Yeah maybe they're a bit worse than before but if everything was as good or better than year 1 gear (stat wise) well everything would be easy.

Best launchers will always be Gally and Truth. Cluster bombs are useless.

Yeah Iam! The raid legendary rocket launcher has like no perks on it with low velocity.
