Is anyone else disgusted by the quality of rocket launchers in this DLC?

I'm also talking PvE here. I don't use Rockets in crucible.[spoiler]Corrective Measure since '84[/spoiler]Perks are universal. I don't care about your awesome roll on your Smolder or Choleric Dragon cause they're garbage launchers. [b]How many rockets you carry doesn't matter, because a roll with tripod or field scout will max that out when combined with rocket ammo boots. [/b][i]Getting tracking added to your rocket launcher with cluster bombs because you have the Taikonaut is great and all, but [b]IF YOUR BLAST RADIUS AND VELOCITY ARE LOW, IT'S STILL A SHITTY ROCKET LAUNCHER[/b][/i]
The only good rockets appear to be The Vertigo and the generic Suros version you can get from the Gunsmith.
Just for clarification. A rocket launcher is to deliver splash DPS to an area. The most important stat is Blast Radius. How big the blast is. The next most important stat is Velocity. How fast the blast gets where it's going. If one of these is low, it's a shit launcher end of story. Doesn't matter what perks you got, or what exotics help it.

2 RepliesThey aren't great. Finally got a Smolder with tracking and considered myself lucky. Wish my Ash Factory was year 2. That blast radius with tripod, warhead verniers, and g&h was amazing.

5 RepliesIf they have tracking im not too concerned about velocity. I hate wasting rockets from missing a moving target so I always favour tracking. Impact and blast radius are the next deciding factors. Exotic truth is my go to atm. I'm still waiting for a good legendary one to drop for me :-(

AND low and behold I got some boots that carry rocket launcher ammo. Finally the grind has become the destination - it took a while. I have yet to see tracking, but I am good for now.

finally got a Smolder with tracking with javelin and hard launch. And on my hunter I have the sealed ahamkara grasps that reload heavies faster and boots with extra ammo. beautiful thing.

And the rolls in general. Weapons are not what they used to be....although I am finding anything without tracking to be inferior on launchers in general.

Yeah I can't understand any other perks other than Blast and Velocity. I never used anything that reduces those, I don't get why they are even there? Who wants slow rockets with small radius for +2 agility? That sounds like some PVP type trash

2 RepliesI use rocket launchers almost exclusively close range (just outside blast radius), velocity doesn't matter at that range... Choleric dragon on my titan has the best roll available =)
