Sounds like you're addicted. I was in the same boat. My dad noticed, took the game for about a month. If you don't want dad to know or something, which is logical, give the game to a friend, tell him to hide it, and don't give it back for exactly 1 month. Maybe more. Also, delete the app. All apps regarding Destiny. Hope you get better...

1 ReplyIm in the same boat as you only I'm in college and I'm 19 yrs old. I've been addicted since day one, I seriously need to do something quick before I -blam!- up my life.

3 RepliesEdited by GeneralEttan92: 9/29/2015 6:11:59 AMReminds me of amphetamines, which fyi, works awesome with fps games. No but really, Destiny is designed to work like Las Vegas in many ways and gambling addiction is a serious thing, like drug addiction. Look some information up and try to cut down your hours or I'm afraid things could get worse. You don't wanna go to rehab for destiny addicts.
-
1st step is to acknowledge the problem, which you've done. Not even joking,I know where you're coming from. Try seriously comparing it to drugs/smoking/alcohol. I'm gonna bet you're not majorly hooked on them but treat destiny as one of those. It'll take immense willpower and a strong desire to quit but it can be done. If people can overcome those addictions, you should be able to quit destiny, try weening yourself off bit by bit, even by playing a different game ( quite a few coming up ) or reading a good book (preferably a series of books ) Good luck

3 RepliesWhen I was in high school, I was able to play WoW almost every night without it affecting my grades or social life. Weight lifting/conditioning in the morning, school (completed all of my homework in study hall), basketball practice, socialize with friends for a bit, and then sit down to play for a good 2-3 hours before I went to bed. What really helped me was how I looked at my allotted time. What was my ultimate goal in WoW? To reach max level and get the best gear of course, but that can't be accomplished in one sitting. When I was getting ready to play each night, I would ask myself what would be a reasonable goal for me to accomplish that night. I would set my sights on going from lvl 47 to lvl 48 as opposed to focusing on being level 60 because that will come in time. However, it would be more beneficial for you to focus on having fun outside of video gaming at your age. I promise in 15 years you won't spend a second of your time thinking about all of the great gear you had in Destiny, but you won't ever forget the memories you had in high school. Go out, get in great shape, pick up a sport, and/or chase girls, and you will be infinitely happier because you might not have the opportunity to do those kind of things when the real world hits you, but video games will always be there my friend. Good luck guardian.

Brah you're telling the wrong -blam!-ing group you're talking to a forum full of whiners and shitters that only care about themselves find luckly I'm not one of those people. Listen if you have friends hangout with them over the weekend and if you don't try to find some also what you're struggling with is all in the head. Kid just turn off your console or get a job you're sixteen if you get a job you'll play less simple really

Either start smoking that koosh and make friends through there, or invest in a p0rn account.

3 RepliesFind a girl!! Vag will take your mind off of Destiny

There is a difference between obsession and addiction I think. It does sound like you're addicted. My suggestion is to put the console in your closet for some time. Pull back a little bit and find other things to do. And make sure you have a friend to buy from Xur for you lol. And remember, you can usually justify playtime if everything else in your life is in place. So work first, play later. Then no one can say anything.

1 ReplyIt's 2am in the morning, got work in 4. Please warlock be my whore. Been drinking too much, but oryx you my slut. Please pizza man knock at my door. Get off this app and back to the game, the real world is pretty lame. Jokes on you, got porn on my zune. Please lady come find me.

After my hiatus from school after highschool I was addicted to COD. I decided I needed to go to college, so I sold my xbox and got good grades and an education
-
1 ReplyDude, take a break from destiny. Give your console to your parents for a month and get your grades up. And education and a good job in the future is more important than destiny. When you apply to college, they won't be looking at what light level you are, they're going to look at you grades in high school. If you can't stand not playing any for a whole month, just play on weekends. I do that, and I am in 8th grade and am taking geometry, Spanish one and physical science. Long story short, you should put much more time in school than destiny.

Have your priority first! Family school and games! For me is family, work on career and destiny games!

Edited by EyE4AnEyE13: 9/29/2015 6:08:22 AMDo well in school or you won't be able to afford games ... Fast food doesn't pay nearly enough . Either brake destiny or controll yourself and put it aside till homeworks done first and studying ... The better you do in school now .. Believe it or not will make life easier later and more time for games... Girls and relationships will move quick at that age and in a year you won't even remember that girl .. Or her relationship will be done and you'll be ready .. Shit has a way of working out .. On a side note join a martial art ... Like bjjor Kung fu !! They Will teach you self discipline and allow you to earn self respect
