No, I'm not referencing legacy engrams or faction packages(but even those are shitty). I'm referencing what they said in multiple pre-TTK hype videos, where they hyped up their "new and improved" loot system. Also, I did not get these from doing dreksis or whatever. Check my recent games. Mainly strikes. So please think about what you're going to say or at least read the comments before trying to act all cool.

I only seem to have problems with exotics, ( 3 of my first 7 were duplicates). All other engrams have been pretty random

All four of my exotic primary engrams have been Monte Carlo. Got these after I bought my year 2 version with marks. 2 helms of saint-14,2 helm inmost light, 2 bellcose(can't remember fullname). Also got 2 immolation fires, 2 ruin wings, 3 chest of alpha lupi, two 4th horsemen. Best Rng i had so far was Truth came from a cryptarch package legendary heavy engram. And a bunch of exotics for my hunter and warlock. Only ones I remember are don't touch me and the obsidian mind. No duplicates yet for these classes.

"new and improved loot system?" lol riiiight..... was it designed to NOT drop raid armor? and I'm pretty sure getting 2 identical raid pulse rifles after killing Oryx (thanks for wasting my Moldering Shards, Oryx) breaks the whole "not getting duplicates" thing maybe the loot system goes off of what you NEED rather than what you want because I do kinda need weapon parts after blowing them all on faction rep...

3 RepliesIf you open them fast the game doesn't have enough time to realize that you already decrypted something like a hereafter so it doesn't take it out. Open them slowly and it shouldn't happen. Out of all my engrams, when I did this, I didn't get a single duplicate.

I've only got 2 exotic engrams, and both of them were graviton forefeits with identical rolls.

I opened up 3 primary engrams (all exotic engrams for farming strikes) and keep in mind that I already have a year 2 Monte Carlo but somehow I managed to open up 3 more back to back to back.
