First of all let me say that I am a Xbox player. Also that I would happily give up my Y2 Fatebringer for another year of never having to play this god damned waste of my amazing thumb reflexes .
I have had the pleasure of not having this pop up in a strike playlist until tonight. I have heard many a Playstation user complain about this strike, but after numerous runs of Cerberus Vae III I thought of this as nothing more than exaggeration. Boy was I wrong.
It starts with a bunch of exposition basically telling us we have to kill a bullet sponge. Whatever it is Y1. Then as we spawn in Nolandroid says something, the painful irony of which I only now begin to fully comprehend. "I like it better when it's dead."
So we start off killing copious amounts of taken right off the bat. Annoying but it isn't like I haven't done it before.
Now the real fun begins.
After heading up a flight of stairs we encounter what can only be described as as the literal equivalent of eating a ghost pepper whole followed up by horse tranquilizers.
Yellow bar goblin and minotaur abound, all protecting a cyclops in a small area, lacking a high light void shotgun I was ill equipped for the ravenous horde.
20 minutes of my life wasted and still going we reach a room with a portal at the end, spewing out vile slime faster than me after Taco Bell.
If you are actually reading this, post a * after your comment so I can know.
When that was all over out came a giant solar Nexus with slightly different shield, with the added bonus of moving back and fourth between the small, rectangular cavity with little to no hiding places. But wait, theres more! Purchase Undying Mind and get craploads of Yellow Minotaurs for free! Order within the next 15 minutes and get double the Minotaurs for free! Thats right for absolutely free! We're practically giving them away! *Minotaurs brought to you by VexCo. Make sure to check out our juice boxes!
So 45 minutes in and 20 deaths later, I activate my hammer and, with all my rage, blow the damn glorified Nokia through hell and into Satan's leased condo (student loans are a b*tch).
My rewards? 10 Legendary Marks, The Undying Mind Mark, one less Heroic to for a quest, and a bunch of engrams that bumped me from 291 to 320.
But let me tell you a Y2 pre buff Necrochasm would not be worth the pain. I thought the point of exclusives was to make a console more rewarding, but this only makes Xbox look like an Apple to Playstation's "store brand" flip phone.
So how would I rate? 10/10 love it. Would recommend to a friend. Will certainly buy again. Too easy
Edit: For God's sake read the actual body. For now on anybody who posts an "It is easy" without joking will be insta muted for illiteracy
Edit: NOOOOOOOOOO! It happened! Nightfall!

3 RepliesStupid post.
-
I like the stair part, but hate the Boss, it's just to many of everything
-
It is equivalent to having a rotten egg shoved down your throat *

Edited by Oath 01: 9/27/2015 6:47:42 PMNot easy, but definitely fun. N at least you got taken for the first bit, n not the bullshit spawns of vex with torch hammers... lol The only part i really hate is the boss fight, cant shoot the hydra for long with that stupid shield*
-
Heres the kicker: now that XBOX has this AND the Flayers strikes - there will be nightfalls*
-
It's really actually a great strike when the "fresh troops" modifier is not on. Try playing it in the Vanguard Strikes Playlist.
-
I dislike how often this strike is popping in heroic. Literally every other strike in the playlist is this strike.*
-
My only problem
to

many

majors
3 RepliesI think its pretty fun. Ive done it solo. There is just one solution for you. Git gud.
-
1 ReplyThese comments prove, people are illiterate.
-
5 RepliesYou're just an absolute scrub. Git gud*

It wouldn't be so bad if the Precursor Yellow Bar Vex counted towards bounties or glimmer. That's what really gets to me... Otherwise, it's a super fest. Not too fun anymore, but still better than the Restorative Mind.*

Edited by Argonaut101: 9/27/2015 4:59:30 PMThis has been hanging around a normal ps4 users favourite strikes for months and months. Almost everyone LOVES this strike. Was by far my favourite this last 6 months or so They just need to rename it The Orb Factory Strike
-
1 ReplyWhenever I drop into this strike I know it will go either one of two ways. 1) Vex spawn at the top of the stairs, 'teammates' immediately leave. 2) One teammate leaves as soon as we land because Undying Mind. Matchmaking goes on coffee break for next 20 mins.

Echo chamber is much worse lol
-
This is such a quick strike. I don't know how anyone could dislike it.
-
2 RepliesDepending on the fireteam you draw this can be the best strike going. Many don't like it, but I find it rewards skilled movement and gunplay. Maybe I'm in the lower end of people I also like the Saber strike. *

Edited by Xerxes: 9/27/2015 6:24:42 PM*First time I did it it was hard, but all 3 classes now have a subclass that can complete the sections. For the major hallway, just have a striker/voidwalker/stormcaller/nightstalker launch their super on weakened enemies, and let the orbs fly. Combine this with one assist guy and another area of effect super, and the room is basically just going to be covered in orbs and ammo. Same thing on the boss fight. Assist guy shoots boss other two clear adds. Supers everywhere.

This review is a year late gg

This strike is fun af.

1 ReplyHaven't tried the heroic and I can imagine it being a headache... but the whole "bring the orb from x to y" to actually get to the boss annoys the crap out of me, most strikes you can just steamroll the enemies, I do like having interesting mechanics but ffs.. does it need to be every section and does it need to be that far from the actual gate? Boss is fun though.
-
One of the most difficult strikes ever... He did drop two legendary and an exotic engram when we killed him though, so I can forgive.*
-
2 Replieslol so true. Me and some friends were trying to do some weekly heroic strikes, got this, went to orbit immediately, loaded in, and got it again...*
