Last night my boyfriend was forced to change his PSN name as he was reported and banned. After talking to Sony, a rep told me that he would simply be able to un-ban himself by calling and following some steps, only now he is unable to get on Destiny as it is stuck on signing in and keeps giving code Banjo. Several reps told us different things but the last one I spoke to said he would have all of his content transferred to his new name including online content. So far everything else has been transferred like his games and messages but his friends list is broken and so are his trophies... as well as Destiny. His name still appears to be his old one too upon sign in. Even trying to check his account from mine on the app it says he doesn't have an account linked to his old PSN name. Will he be able to retain his characters or be forced to start over? He's been playing since November last year and is quite understandably frustrated.
