I am 14. That is all
Edit 1: To the people saying it was because of the way I acted, some new adults joined our team as 2 needed to leave and I sent a party message saying I'm 14. I then heard an "oh -blam!- no" from the new leader and kicked.

At school you should be getting cyber safety lessons. Never share your personal details with strangers on the Internet.

2 RepliesI'm only 13 and I've never been kicked from a raid because of that. Most people don't care, just don't be really immature. Not saying that you were though :)

I think that if they don't ask, don't tell. Most of the time people are fine having a fourteen old in their team as long as they listen, learn and get the job done. The arises when other members of our age group act out the stereotype. One negative experience with a particular individual of a certain group, whether it be age, race, religion or something else can leave a lasting impression. I will however give those who don't like higher pitched voices some credit. Most of the time, I stop when I know I am talking to much but a heads up when we are distracting the group would be nice.

Why put your age ? Not once ever have I been asked for my age

Edited by ObnoxiousLunatic: 10/25/2015 5:52:10 PMSucks to hear but from my experience, the adolescent kids seem to lack focus. They all want to be shot caller, constantly talk over one another and seem to be more interested in showing off their skills. I had this one kids invite me to a raid group. They were on totems. My instinct was to leave the moment I got there but I said to myself, "Let me give them the benefit of the doubt." We wiped four times before even running the first round becasue they could not agree on who goes where and kept arguing about their favorite sides. I went into daddy mode and told them to shut up and I assigned sides. We start and then the kids who really wanted to be on the right (I sent his ass to the left) ups and quits. 2 more quit after that and, presto-chango, the raid was over. Moral of the story: Parents need to smack their kids around more.

I'm not very biased about age. I met one guy who was 14 but I enjoyed talking to him. He had fun. I didn't find him a nuisance. He was still talking just a little more than me but I had a pleasant time

This has been my experience with kids in parties. Party Leader: OK guys let's get this done. Background of Kid's Mic: It's bedtime! Kid: Not now mom! Background: Yes now! ~Muffled screams and bullshit~ Kid has Left Party. Or this one. Party is cracking dirty jokes or discussing alcohol, sex or some other adult topic. Kid has left party chat coming through speakers. Angry Mom: What is wrong with you people? You're ruining my little precious! You people should be ashamed. Me: Lady you can shove that right up your ass. I'm not this Kid's daddy. I don't owe him a role model. Angry Mom: Junior you are never allowed to play this again. Kid: ~Various insults and threats hurled my way for pissing off his mommy.~ There is just too much potential hassle there for me to bother. It happens on all games that require lengthy team oriented play. Kids do not own their own time nor do they own their own actions online. They are beholden to parents and I don't want to deal with parents that aren't my own.

8 RepliesYou werent kicked because of your age. You were kicked because of your constant afk's without warning and not listening to the FT leader. You were kicked because your mom yelling into the mic at you is not something that should happen in a group of randoms. You were kicked because of your never ending bitching about what loot you didn't get. You were kicked because you would tell everyone how to do this and that, but were always wrong. You were kicked because of a lot of things, none of which being your age.

2 RepliesEdited by dreya: 10/25/2015 6:00:34 PMPeople don't like playing with younger people for many reasons: -Very high, squeaky voices get annoying quick. -Usually kids brag about the weapons they have, how good they are, etc. and end up being terrible anyway. -A lot of the kids you find usually have no clue what they're doing. -Kids also have trouble listening to others and they usually ramble on about things that are irrelevant. It's just so much easier to not take chances on wasting time with annoying, unbearable children, and find someone older. Deal with it. Kids these days aren't disciplined enough for me to have a tolerance for them. They all act tough and strong but are a bunch of cry babies when they don't get their way.

3 RepliesLol I'd kick you. Every time I given squeekers a chance, they always fudge it up. "Just a second, my mom wants me to eat dinner"(middle of warpriest).

Edited by Jamesxgamz: 10/26/2015 8:22:39 AM1) if you think it might be an issue, don't mention your age 2) if you have problems getting on a team, use one of the lfg sites and get people to join you (someone else can give instructions, but don't give the fire team lead unless you trust them) 3) if someone is being offensive, leave the team or ask them to stop if you are leader 4) if you are out of your depth with the difficulty or don't know what to do, admit it and offer to leave. The team may help you get through it or leaving will be your choice 5) always listen to instruction. Offer advice (as a suggestion) if things aren't going well

I've had so many bad encounters with children. I don't play raids with them anymore. Anything else is fine though.

I'm going to be honest, when I loaded up a group full of 12-13 year olds I was like crap. Well, there goes 2 hours of my life wiping and dying repeatedly. But then we beat oryx on hard. They really held their own, and I was really impressed. I'm not going to blindly judge by voice ever again.

311 hunter need 5 309+ hard mode oryx and need to know method to bring ogres to low health my gamer tag is: x SM1THY93 x

4 RepliesThis isn't true for everyone, but is true for most: Younger kids usually tend to be hard headed, unwilling to listen, and do what they want and expect everyone to do everything. Very few are actually good players who are willing to listen, understand that their voice is high pitched and will not talk much because of it, but yet are still able to call out what they need to. Idk what you are like, the leader probably assumed (which isn't always a bad thing to assume as most of the time its right) you were the first type of kid
-
2 RepliesSometimes you have to give them a chance. We ran with a kid yesterday and we beat hard oryx on the 3rd try. On my first run, we were all adults and it took us 3 damn hours just to finish. Older doesn't mean a better player.
-
I have a deep voice so i dont bring up my age.
-
Edited by DevGEM: 10/26/2015 5:52:41 AMAnd that was your mistake. Never give your age to douche bags and jack asses.

go outside or something, it's not too late for you.

2 RepliesI kick anybody 16 or below. I don't want my ear drums to bleed.
-
2 RepliesI kick young kids from my team purely because it makes me and my friends uncomfortable. We're good people and we don't really wanna tone our filth down because a kid is in the party.
-
I usually don't care as long as you're good But I kick people if they get really cocky and start to do things their own way instead of the same as the rest of the team Plus if you sound like someone scraping a fork across a blackboard then you shut up or get out.
-
you were probably kicked for the shite weapons you're running

I dont play with squikers myself.....
