If you're a completionist like me, or if your just curious about this then alright. So if you haven't gotten it yet, there's a quest that Amanda Holliday will give you eventually rewarding you with "The Chaperone". Step 1 is to kill enemies with The Last Word to boost reputation with Tex Machinima. What sucks is that that gun has been nerfed. I mean it's miserable. If you use certain perks, stability is equivalent to Ill Will! You also need over a 1.0 kd ratio or you lose points. I literally cried when my 42% went to 2% in the same match. I am so angry. It's like an arbitrary system. If anyone knows tips on this. PLEASE LET ME KNOW. Thanks and have an awesome day!

Just unequip title for most of the round and when heavy or your special is ready equip it. Progress is only made and lost with it on and this method maximizes your kill potential while minuting losing progress. The kills do not need to be from tlw
-
I went on a 11 streak and got phantom using only last word
-
I have the chaperone. Quest wasn't hard and I hate the last word
-
2 RepliesEdited by i The Doosra i: 9/27/2015 7:53:37 PMTook me a few attempts, but once I got a decent connection I smashed the whole quest out in an afternoon, just have to wait till reset for my chaperone. Edit: Best advice I can give is get multi kills and killing sprees. Gives significant bonuses.
-
One advice. Git gud and hip fire.
-
Actually It's kill enemies with the last word equipped meaning you can use other guns
-
Just don't use it. Sit back and camp with your sniper. You don't need to get kills with it. You just need to get kills with it equipped.
-
I got up to 53% in my first game, then 4 games later I was still at 58%. I never liked the gun, even when it was good.
-
It's not hard really it just takes time. As long as you have more kills than deaths each game you will get it. Took me about 3-5 days
-
16 RepliesGrab a friend, go into classic ffa so you know the maps, and meet in a specific part of the map. Then proceed to slaughter your friend repeatedly.
-
9 RepliesFor some reason my quest is bugged. I went 5-1 at the start of a crucible match, when I went to check my progress I had lost 1%, my kills didn't even count. It's very frustrating because my first 2 games with the quest I got to 66%. 3 games later, with many more kills than deaths, and I'm at 67%.
-
That quest was actually pretty easy for me, the Last Word is still good as long as you hip fire and avoid trying to shoot people from across the map
-
Where's the 'New Last word is okay, I just suck' option. :p
-
2 RepliesYeah. 76% to 0% Crucible matchmaking is broken as shit just like TLW. Everyone I get paired with has gone through the raid, is somehow now instantly better when I used to finish in top three. I don't know what happened but the crucible matchmaking is shit. Glad I won't be playing for another week. College is an easier struggle than this quest. Mentally exhausted after thinking 24% wouldn't be that hard to get on my own. -blam!- this. -blam!- that.
-
You can use other weapons as long as the last word is your primary. It's still god awful and the new last word is garbage.
-
honestly I'm awful at PVP and o was able to do it over the span of a few games. TLW is still pretty good in crucible dawg.
-
I did it in one game :)
-
3 RepliesEdited by The Last Word: 9/27/2015 5:37:36 PMI did it in 2 rift games with the tlw, 1000-yard stare, and qullim's terminus. Wasnt that bad
-
Hahaha I got it done. I just had to Lol at this. Thanks
-
1 ReplyGo into classic rumble few noobs in there and most encounters are 1v1 so more chance of winning
-
3 RepliesThis quest can go eff itself. Not everyone is pro like all you bitches claim to be or extremely lucky. Having something take your progress away because you seem to consistently run into 2 or 3 v 1 is utterly retarded and to make it so you have to get kills with a hand canon to get a shotgun makes 0 sense. Bungie can go eff themselves too for this stupid quest
-
I used my old matador with shot package in the new control game mode. Control is best bc you know when there are a big group on a point then you pop your super. Kills are important but deaths are more important if you want to gain. You need a 2.0 kd or better to progress. Other tjings help bit im mot sure how much. Like winning medals etc

FYI Shindig is an episode of Firefly that starred Nathan Million who you may have seen in other words such as destiny and Halo ODST.
-
I personally thought the last word felt buffed while I was using it. Inside of hip fire range, I was only ever killed by a double hawkmoon headshot. ( And the occasional shotgun cheese )
-
1.)Go into Classic 3v3 2.)Kill all the noobs 3.)Profit
-
Did it in 4 games. Im top 0.1% tho
