If you're a completionist like me, or if your just curious about this then alright. So if you haven't gotten it yet, there's a quest that Amanda Holliday will give you eventually rewarding you with "The Chaperone". Step 1 is to kill enemies with The Last Word to boost reputation with Tex Machinima. What sucks is that that gun has been nerfed. I mean it's miserable. If you use certain perks, stability is equivalent to Ill Will! You also need over a 1.0 kd ratio or you lose points. I literally cried when my 42% went to 2% in the same match. I am so angry. It's like an arbitrary system. If anyone knows tips on this. PLEASE LET ME KNOW. Thanks and have an awesome day!

For you

Mayhem, wait for super, equip tlw, use super, unequip. EZ
-
In pretty sure it's still bugged
-
You dont have to get kills WITH TLW. It does have to be equipped. But you can use shotguns and heavies and supers. If youre having a bad game. Take it off and it wont hurt your percentage
-
I have not attempted it yet, but I have read that those that suck with TLW, like myself... lol, are equipping it only when they have a super ready. Then unequip it once you have your super kills. Takes a little longer but you should only be in the positive with it.

Bungie didn't nerf the Last Word. They just fixed the game so that the range stat actually matters now. This makes it so we can't snipe with hand cannons.
-
I completed the bounty in 2 crucible matches. Not showing of or anything but the key is to get multikills as it helps with the progression by a lot.
-
-_- you do not live in the dangerzone......
-
I was reading below and saw someone say they got this quest in one game and laughed. I would have to see it to believe it. I had a game earlier where I had 33 kills and just under a 4.0 k/d and only climbed 30 lousy %. I am currently at 4% for the quest.
-
Step 1 is to kill enemies with The Last Word to boost reputation with Tex Machinima.
No, step one is to get kills with it equipped, use a sniper or heavy or something if TLW bothers you that much
-
It took me 3 games to get that done.
-
I was having a lot of trouble with this quest. Over 3 days I fluctuated between 40% complete back down to 0%. Then someone suggested mayhem clash. Within 4 matches I had the bounty complete and maybe used the last word for 5 or so kills? It's all about grenades, supers, and heavy kills. Plus with the chaotic regeneration you get much more chances to use super, heavy, and special as well. Good luck and next time you see mayhem clash give it a try.

2 RepliesI'm average in Crucible and I did that part in 1 game. The classic playlist always seems best for the crucible quests for some reason too. The Last Word is still decent it just doesn't have major range anymore. Kill streaks will give you some major points so keep that in mind & try not to charge into an uneven battle & die. I've heard people say that when they get their super they equip the Last Word and then use their super to jump start their kill streak.
-
Did that in 3 salvage matches. The bounty as a whole was pretty easy
-
Play mayhem clash. It's pretty easy if you just switch between the last word and another gun. You don't even have to get kills with the last word, just have it equipped. I just switched to it when I got my special and went through and golden gunned everyone and then switched back to a regular gun. It only took 2 games.

I did the quest on 2 rumble kill streak give u more points and dnt need to kill with lastword
-
I hated this mission at first cause I hadn't really used TLW before but after going from 0% to 8% and back to 0% over a couple of games I quit in rage and vowed it was impossible to do. Last night I opted to brave the challenge once more and in 5 matches managed to complete it thankfully! My tip for it is to never ever ever ! Aim down ur sights. Big huge circle on the crosshairs when u don't aim down sights and just line that up (works long range too) and unleash a volley of bullets. Generally should have realised this about last word beforehand because of the animation when u fire from the hip plus its perks but when I started using the gun that way, I breezed through the mission extremely quickly and had fun doing it in the end.

3 Repliesjust do quest in mayhem. super kills n heavy all day. n u don't hv to get the kills w tlw, just hv it equipped.

Tips I used: Play defensively Follow a teamate for support Run from a 2 on 1 Any kill helps while it is equiped, even supers and other guns Tips I wish I had known Taking TLW off stops progress loss in a bad game Multikills and streaks are worth TONS Clash is good because the enemy rarely bunches up Got mine on week one. Hope this helps
-
1 ReplyDid it in 4 games
-
It's easy if you do it the long way. Right now is a good time to do it. Play mayhem and have the last word equiped.
-
Beat it
-
I was never a last word person in the first place so I don't have much interest in the quest. Although since that and touch of malice are the last 2 I have quests for I should probably go get them done
-
Eh, ignore the usual git gid crap. Look at it this way: there are 11 other people playing. You control very little of the situation on the map. Finishing the quest requires a fireteam working with you. Anything else is pure random luck. I just quit trying, between the rampant spawn camping and group cheating. Really, it is designed to force you into a fireteam. Anything else is just dumb luck.
-
1 ReplyIt's very easy to do, did it in 3 matches. You just have the have the gun equipped. Heavy, Special, supers, melee and grenade kills count. If you want it to be super easy, unequip TLW. Once you get your super, equip TLW. Then get multi-kills and what not with your super. After that, unequip TLW. This may take longer but it's effective.

Touch of Malice is honestly more annoying.
Blam- Fragment 42!
