If you're a completionist like me, or if your just curious about this then alright. So if you haven't gotten it yet, there's a quest that Amanda Holliday will give you eventually rewarding you with "The Chaperone". Step 1 is to kill enemies with The Last Word to boost reputation with Tex Machinima. What sucks is that that gun has been nerfed. I mean it's miserable. If you use certain perks, stability is equivalent to Ill Will! You also need over a 1.0 kd ratio or you lose points. I literally cried when my 42% went to 2% in the same match. I am so angry. It's like an arbitrary system. If anyone knows tips on this. PLEASE LET ME KNOW. Thanks and have an awesome day!

2 RepliesI'm mediocre at best in the crucible. I got it done in about half a dozen games. I was way more cautious than normal and just picked my battles. Avoided the large firefights.
-
Took 2-3 games max. The shotgun isn't even worth it, it's so bad. But keep grinding
-
It's not hard... At all. I had a harder time with the shotgun part
-
Dude tlw still crushes in crucible.
-
All these people who suck ass with The Last Word now that it's nerfed. Use it like a real Hand Cannon and see what you can do.
-
12 RepliesGot it in one match GG
-
I want TLW, I always get jack s*** when I do nightfall, except for when I got suros. I got HARD LIGHT once. Wish I could get something half decent!
-
Use another gun until you are ready to kill steak or super. Then switch to last word and kill shit with it equipped. Du du. There you go trust me it worked for me and it will for you.
-
Yeahhj it would be ok if mine weren't kinda glitched
-
6 RepliesUnequip TLW, enter crucible, gain super, equip TLW, bomb people, unequip TLW, repeat. I'm at 62%.

Ok, this is a quest where you have to think about the map, how good you are with the weapons you have and strategize around that. For ME maps that had small corridors and choke points I used a fusion rifle and hung out in those areas. Those areas don't allow players to blink or out maneuver you too well. I used a fusion rifle over a shotgun because I can attack outside of a shotty range and still get a 1 shot kill. Also when using a shotty against another shotty there's a likeliness you could trade or they can out gun you. I stayed close to secondary ammo crates and heavy crates to make sure I was always able to get those. I would also save my super for when the heavy crates spawned. Load up on heavy, wait a minute until the explosions stop and go back into those same choke points with a MG. Going on a tear in these areas would often give you a spree further advancing your completion. After heavy ran out I would use my super to extend the spree. Rinse and repeat. For bigger open maps, I would NOT equip TLW until heavy dropped again to try and get the kill spree. Once I was done with heavy and my super I unequipped TLW and went back at it. Rinse and repeat. You know you, and you know what weapons you're good with and how you play, Use those to your advantages. Dont run in guns blazing if that's not your style, and don't be afraid to run from a gun fight to get into a better position or choke point to win 1v1. Hope this helps and good luck.

My tip: Don't equip it until you are in the match and know you can compete. If you start to get stomped repeatedly, unequip it post haste.

9 RepliesIt's piss easy....obviously never completed the thorn bounty...

Edited by Aulakauss: 9/25/2015 3:07:37 AMI believe it's set at a merciless +1 per kill -2 per death. [//INITIATING_BITCHING//] ..and I hate it. I hate The Last Word. I have always hated it. The way it feels, the way it fires, the way it sounds. It's got looks and nothing else to me. Now, I know I could use a Secondary and Heavy and ignore my Primary with it equipped, but the problem therein for me is that I use my Primary 90%+ of the time in Crucible and I generally hate the way Hand Cannons handle. I use Auto and Pulse Rifles, for goodness sake. If it'd been kills with any cannon, I could've stomached it with Ill Will or Polite Denial 0/1, but, and again I cannot overstate the fact that I despise The Last Word. The only way I'm making headway on this thing is if I find derptards I can farm for kills or I go on some kind of unholy drunken shotgun rampage. The worst part is that I got almost there once.. then I faced an entire team of Chaperone users and they ate my soul. The very gun I was working toward literally prevented me from getting it. 2 RepliesStep 1: git gud
-
-Play classic rumble -noobs play here -equip op shotgun -equip op LMG -camp in hallway -hover shotgun anyone who comes in
-
You need to have last word equipped. I got rep from using shotty constantly.
-
1 ReplyGetting above a 1.0 K/D ratio is not hard by any means.
-
2 RepliesIt's not difficult, just play rumble and try your best to get kills with shotguns and use the last word..... I got it done in two games
-
You don't have to get the kill with tlw. Just use a shotgun. Also don't use it in full auto unless at point blank.
-
You can stay back and snipe to get the quest done. You don't need to use the last word just have it equipped. I did that and had 28 kills with a 9.33 k.d and I brought me from 26%- 99% in one match
-
I have no tips I'm just a average player but I really do suggest to just try to survive and not go guns a balzzing with the gun. There are times where you know you can't win and the ussual clash or control tatic is gun down as many as you can but there are times where you just have to run and hide and get teammates to back you up.
-
It wasn't hard to do. Did it in like 4-5 games.
-
Tips 8s don't be a scrub who can only get kills with op things
-
Easy quest but a god awful weapon not ideal for anything any hand cannon would be better then that bs
-
Only use last word on maps you are familiar with and tend to do well at. Don't rush in. Play control and let them come to you. Alternatively, only equip last word when you have heavy/super. You don't need to use the last word for the kills, only have it equipped. Your earned percentage goes up with streaks and double/triple/ breaker feats.
