If you're a completionist like me, or if your just curious about this then alright. So if you haven't gotten it yet, there's a quest that Amanda Holliday will give you eventually rewarding you with "The Chaperone". Step 1 is to kill enemies with The Last Word to boost reputation with Tex Machinima. What sucks is that that gun has been nerfed. I mean it's miserable. If you use certain perks, stability is equivalent to Ill Will! You also need over a 1.0 kd ratio or you lose points. I literally cried when my 42% went to 2% in the same match. I am so angry. It's like an arbitrary system. If anyone knows tips on this. PLEASE LET ME KNOW. Thanks and have an awesome day!

Why did 36% says nerf? Help us!
-
I had gotten up to 87% then I had a horrible match with a bunch of teammates who used me to draw out the enemy, went down to 30%, I quit that quest
-
1 ReplyChrist it wasn't that bad Black Spindle, now that was absurd
-
2 RepliesIt actually takes skill now lol
-
5 Replieswhy not go on lfg and boost for it, easy and effective and you will make friends
-
Tip. You only have to have TLW equipped. You don't actually have to get your kills with it. Your special weapon, heavy, supers, grenades, melee all count so long as last word is equipped. Kill streaks and precision kills count for bonus %
-
fairly easy to complete i thought. Try holding a spawn for your team might work a bit better. The hardest part is still trying to figure out why the rest of your team just spawns and proceeds to b-line it for the other teams spawn to die and flip them. people spawning beside, infront, behind, hell i think a few counted as inside. just boggles my mind with the cod style chicken with head cut off gameplay strategies in this game.
-
It's pretty easy I haven't tried much and I'm at 68% so
-
2 RepliesYeah, don't equip TLW till you have super/and or heavy ammo. Use super/heavy with TLW equipped and get multi kills etc. Unequip TLW as soon as you finish. If you are losing a match, unequip TLW as loses count against it. If team is winning then equip again as wins count as 3%.
-
It gets easier man, well... After that you have to spend 15000 glimmer. Then get kills with shotguns in crucible, a lot easier than it sounds. Then you have to kill the shield brothers on a special variant of the strike at 290 light with a shotgun. You only have to shoot them like once then you can use whatever you want

2 RepliesEdited by PSNkenny: 9/25/2015 4:35:27 AMUnequip it until you get a super then equip it kill with your super unequip it and repeat till done
-
Always play defensive.
-
Got a Game with 7.33 K/D with it Advice: DON'T RUSH IN, If you see one player alone ATTACK, CROUCH ALOT You can use Specials, Heavies and Supers to count too Hope i helped :)
-
didnt have to actually use it, but since i was decent with last word blind fire way back when, i gave it a go
needless to say, most of my kills were from a shotty n sword lol
-
Doesn't have to just be kills with the last word, it's kills with it equipped so your special, grenades, melees , heavy, and super all count. And if you find yourself doing poor in a match just unequip the last word and try again next game
-
Did it in 2 matches
-
Just killstreaks and play passively. Wait for heavy then go off while cleaning up where you can
-
The last word was my main in year one until I got hawkmoon so going back to it for this task was simple, plus being a pretty decent PvP player helps too so I also had no problem with the crucible in general, thank Halo for that I will lol
-
TLW only needs to be equipped but not used! equip it when your super is ready and/or have heavy ammo and go on a nice kill streak! once you die or feel like the streak will end unequip:)! the kills still count as i went from 23% to 53% just using my super.
-
3 RepliesI think floofing through the Darkblade pit of death with flames, swords, Cursed Thrall, boomer shots, and an axe wielding maniac with his brain exposed is harder than killing some Guardians in Crucible ;)
-
You only need the last word equipped, I completed the first part in four crucible matches, here's how: all I did was sat back and sniped (headshots are worth 2%) and made sure I got every heavy drop, went in with my super and heavy and then dropped back again. Easy as!
-
If you solely use hip fire, tlw still wrecks
-
I just don't like hand cannons think they're stupid, broken ane should not be in the game all together.
-
1 ReplyEdited by Shalltear: 9/24/2015 1:38:00 PMI used it a lot before the patch, and I had just assumed it sucked when it got patched, but turns out if you hip fire it it's godly. Hitting headshots for days that don't even make sense
-
Dont need tl
-
That quest is super easy. Chaperone isn't good at all though.
