Like many of you, I am happy to play through one strike or many, and will often end up beating the heroic strikes with two instead of three. However, too many people are bailing out early, leaving two of us, and eventually the other ends up leaving as well. and the system still won't replace them fast enough. I don't know what can be done, if we can get replacements faster, or (speaker forbid) nerf some of the longer ones that people often quit, but something has to be done. Please!!

1 ReplyWow dark blade and sabor are the only ones that offer any kind of challenge... if your quitting strikes then you suck.. no nerfs need to be made to any strike!! There fine
-
people bail because the strikes suck. hell, the entire game sucks.

5 RepliesFallen S.A.B.E.R is a joke on heroic. Especially with the taken variation. No real cover, shielded taken captains throwing their blinding ball of doom at you non-stop and the snipers waiting for you to move into their sight lines and proceed to two shot you. No thanks.

Edited by Jdizzy8VA: 9/24/2015 1:21:28 PMSABER- omg defending the Warsat is so freaking annoying. Who thought deploying 6 snipers at once was a good idea, if three target you... Guardian down. Before SABER I never dropped from a strike.

1 ReplyOne problem I have as I grind strikes that would cause me to leave is due to the repetition of strikes like playing dust palace over and over and over, I want to be able to veto or up vote the next on the playlist so that its not just dust palace or saber strike
-
3 RepliesI bail from heroics when theres either a 260-285 i only run with people with a minimum light of 285. Before 285 there basically a liability.

1 ReplyThe answer is to remove matchmaking for the heroic playlist. The act of posting on an lfg site ensures that each player has some level of commitment to finish the task.

2 RepliesEdited by l Beanie l: 9/22/2015 5:28:46 PMYeaa so lets add matchmaking for raids too
jokes
I don't like matchmaking. So if I have the idea my random teammates are not really good or afk a lot, I leave

1 ReplyI think only people that bail after a certain amount of time should be penalized. Like, if you quit after 10 minutes have passed in the strike, your character should get a curse/debuff that prevents you from entering another strike for 60 minutes. This doesn't really affect you if you really have to go, as you will logging off anyway. But for those that just like abandoning strikes mid-way, it would be a good deterrent. There are times where you're thrown into a strike for the 5th time and you've just had enough. You should be able to quit early in the strike without penalty. Hopefully, that allows enough time for matchmaking to bring someone else in. You should also NOT be penalized if you quit during the boss fight. Why? Because after wiping 20 times on the boss, that should be penalty enough. No one really wants to quit at the boss fight unless they feel they're just not strong enough and can't kill him. Sometimes people want to learn the hard way.

Every time I do strikes I just assume in soloing it
-
People are bailing because there is strike specific loot + a Legendary mark limit. Once you have all the marks you can get the only reason to run a strike is for the strike specific loot. I would prefer not to waste my time and do a strike I actually want to do. before TTK i would do any strike because I always earned something. Now I don't always earn marks so I want to run a strike with the possibly of giving me something I want. Solution: put a 260 light level next to all the TTK strikes on the planets. Let me choose 260 light and go. No more leaving. Everyone who chose that strike wants to be there.
-
Some of them I can understand why people bail. Well, just one. The taken warsat variable of the saber strike leaves a good team overwhelmed with the amount of captains and sniping vandals spawning all at once.
-
Not always quitting. I got booted from 3 today with no code and only "You are being returned to orbit". No reason
-
Bungie takes forever to fill the 3rd spot if someone bails.
-
Quitters should be "punished" by starting the next playlist automatically with the strike they left!
-
I realized this last week, every time I went in, at least 1 player would leave. Ended up 2 manning them all.
-
Yeah I started to do Vanguard Heroic Strike & before I could turn to look at the other 2 ppl 1 guy split!! 10-15 min the 2 of us got as far as we could, died a couple times and then BAM!! I noticed I was by myself but I kept going for a few min and NOBODY ELSE ever came in!
-
I don't mind grinding strikes for a bit if anyone wants to. One of the best ways to get legendaries. Gt Sanctus 1

2 RepliesYa I often find myself running strikes solo because of people dropping out and no new people ever get matched. Maybe I just have a bad connection or something, but going through the playlist solo can take a while.

i ended up having to solo the boss on the restorative mind strike. thank god for the stats boost when holding the relic i can stay invisible as a night stalker non-stop
-
oath, I sat at a boss for Shield Bros and went through 7-9 people instantly leaving before 2 people actually stayed to complete it
-
I've ran 20+ and haven't had anyone leave yet, maybe I'm just lucky
-
I've noticed this

2 RepliesEdited by RavenousLD3341: 9/22/2015 2:35:04 PMI think the biggest problem is people jumping at 220-240 light. Those strikes are tough, doable if you have skill, but tough when you are 20 under. As time goes on, more people will get 270-290 and drop outs will decrease dramatically. Just wait it out.
