How to use Three of Coins. (Must read)
I've been farming Scourge of Winter story boss. Get the checkpoint outside his chamber. Pop coin, snipe boss low, run in and rocket suicide to kill him. If he dropped loot, it'll still be there. Rinse and repeat. Within 15 coins, I've gotten 3 chest exotics.

Pop coin.
Snipe boss low, or shoot him, whatever works for you.
Go in and kill him and yourself with a rocket launcher. Any loot will carry over after you revive at the checkpoint.
Rinse and repeat while collecting any loot drops from the previous kill.
[b]Only use one coin at a time,[/b] the buff goes away regardless of you getting a drop or not.

You can also do it with the black garden bosses you can use one coin for each of them.

1 ReplyI stopped last night after I found Jade Rabbit. In total, I found 28 exotic engrams including the new arc auto, the aforementioned Jade rabbit, and the new sniper that blinds enemies. Most of the engrams were armor pieces, which makes sense because there are more armor pieces in the loot table than weapons. Engrams farming goes quickly until you make a mistake like killing the boss and not yourself. I switched from Ice Breaker to a combination of primary and fusion rifle and had fewer accidental kills. Heavy ammo for the rocket launcher was also a problem, and I suggest buying heavy ammo synthesis and using your old raid boots that hold heavy ammo. Value wise, I had at least 1 exotic engram drop for every 4 or 5 Three of Coins. That means with a little work, you can have an exotic for 7 strange coins. If you are poor on strange coins and rich on time, using Three of Coins is the way to go. Even if you get two exotics of the same kind, you can use one for infusion on any character class. The Three of Coins obviously work as advertised. Cozmo admits they are working too well, and "for now" this is in our favor. (Nerf incoming. Enjoy this while it lasts.) As a day one player, I know the frustration of chasing exotics. 4 months to find Hawkmoon. 9 months to find Monte Carlo. 11 months to find Gjallarhorn. If you have the opportunity to grab an exotic, take it!

Bought all the 3coins I had strange coins for so 15 used as directed and no one exotic :( still rng

Bought five, used them all. Beat a taken boss in patrol. Got the zhalo.

This works for those without ttk as well (like myself). Although after 15 coins I only got one exotic. -_- not sure if I'm just unlucky or what

I'll get the rest later in the year. No heavy drops at all. I'd be interested in a list of drops people got. Gonna go have fun with the new toys! I think it was bungies way of letting us upgrade the old stuff while thinning out the strange coin stashes everyone had but I kept a few hundred just in case..:) I ran the black garden, it's fail proof but could be quicker.

Xbox one. if anyone wants to show gratitude to me by running the nightfall that would be awesome, I'm a 290, and now that we got badass guns, let's do this and hopefully get some more exotics. Just shoot me a message on this post and well set it up. I went out last night so I'm a little hungover and need to eat but let's say in a couple hours or so.

Hello shiny new jade rabbit and hunter oblivion helm. All equipped if you want to check it out. Edit: can't confirm if they do stack properly or not, this is just how I found worked best after 100 coins and about 15 exotics dropped. I can confirm that when you kill an ultra you lose the coin regardless of if you got an exotic.
