It was worth it for the two new specials alone, but I had been trying hard for one of the primaries!

I got Monte Carlo, Zhallo Supercell, Crest of Alpha Lupi tonight doing it in the Strike Playlist. Probably took me 9-12 strikes and I got plenty of high armor/damage rare and legendary items along the way. Anecdotally I don't seem to be doing any better then people trying this method (and better then lots reporting their results here) plus I got tons of other engrams and items people likely aren't getting from using this method. This is one of those tips that seems to be slower then just doing it via normal play. My fiancé got two or three exotics with the same number of strikes as me and a friend we play with got one in the five we played with him. I'd take those odds versus killing myself over and over for no noticeable gain.

3 RepliesHad a double exotic engram drop at the Drakis farming point. Armour seems to drop more frequently than weapons but managed to get Hereafter, Monte Carlo, Telesto and the Arc Auto.

But the arms weren't really wanted, got the warlcok ahamkara, Hunter ahamkara spinex2, chest was alpha lupi, telesto and supercell. Kinda makes up for the helmet engram failure. Hunter picked up the Titan helmet that does tracking, don't remember the name. 2 skyburner annex, one mask of third man(dafq), stag and knucklehead(double dafq). Two Hunter helms I didn't use in year one are the first to drop in year two. Fml. All I wanted was the nightstalker helmet. I don't even like my warlock. :(

1 ReplyI've heard this all over the Internet for the past few days and thought it'd be a good way to exploit this before it gets patched, so I invested in 25 Three of coins purchases and then I get to Scourge of Winter checkpoint and pop a coin each time then suicide kill him and I've repeated it 24 times and I have managed to acquire....F*#k All! Nothing! And I mean not a single damn engram whatsoever, let alone a gorgeous golden yellow one! What the fudge is going on Bungie?!! 😡 I spent all my strange coins on buying all of those and all I've ended up with is damn house banners which I could've gotten for free!
