But wow didn't always have an amazing amount of content, the first few expansions did but for the most part it was just an oversized grind, with easier endgame content for each expansion. For almost double the price.

I played the shit out of WoW on and off for 10 years man... It's not even funny how much more content there was in that game. 20 times more is probably an understatement. Facking epic world pvp battles at Tarren Mill and Southshore, 8 hour battlegrounds in Alterac Valley. Sure it had its issues, but man the value was there and it was so worth what we paid over the years. The problem with your average Destiny gamer is they don't know what kind of gaming value to expect from an MMO styled game so they are bending straight over for Activision with no complaints.

I played WoW all the way from vanilla 40 man MC to Mists, and currently tackling the most recent raid content in FFXIV, I'm well versed in the mmo scene, so I do get it. Now if destiny had a sub fee then it's a different story but the game has been a blast, the content has been lacking at first but getting better and better. This game deserves more credit.

I played it from Vanilla to Mists too. You should know then that it had so much more content than Destiny. Not to mention it actually had real investment in game servers, not a piggy back laggy p2p host system. I know you are just trying to rationalize and defend a game you love, heck it probably helped you quit the wow addiction like it did for me... But, Activision really shouldn't have butchered Destiny like they did. All of the content released to date should have been included in the original game and then it might have started to approach being worth a $60 or $80 price tag. If it had dedicated servers for large scale lag free pvp, I'd even pay a subscription for that shit... But that would cut into profit, so it will never be done proper.
