Bungie you need to decrease the faction quest to Rank 5 because getting to rank 25 will pretty much take forever and you cant even level up factions anymore with patrol missions and public event.
Also how do you expect new destiny players to get to rank 25? Even most year 1 destiny players are not even rank 25.
This needs to be looked into.
EDIT 1: If you're already rank 25 and above then what is your fracking problem. How does decreasing the faction quest level affect you. You selfish haters. You better look at my stats before you call me a newbie.
From what I've seen in the comments. I'm happy to renegotiate to Rank 10 instead of 5. This is worse than Xur selling the Gjallarhorn. I did not see you noobs complaining then. But you complain now. So it wasn't fair for the people who played non stop to get a Gjallarhorn.
Keep this post alive!

On a serious note, you have to have a faction emblem, shader, and mark. And I'm rank 25 with dead orbit and don't even have a shader yet. But you seem to be joking so by all means lower it to level 3 plz
-
2 RepliesThey gave you plenty of options to increase rep. Weapon parts, ammo synths, etc. You'll get there.
-
Just skimmed over the comments, no offense mate but you have next to nobody in agreement with you, doesn't that tell you what a silly suggestion this is? With all that grimoire I'm actually very suprised you aren't already rank 25 with a faction, so all that tells me you have neglected ranking up factions in favour of collecting grimoire score? I've been happily playing destiny for 100's of hours, haven't checked in a while but I'm probably dawning on 1000 hours and yet I'm not even close to being 25 with a faction. However I know with all the new and old ways I can gain faction rep I'm happy to grind away in anticipation of the quest and burn the stacks of items I won't need to gain alot of it and get packages along the way with new weapons and better RNG for shaders and so on. So really I don't understand what your problem is and again, no offense but it just looks like you want the quest for little or no effort, it sounds lazy and petulant.

1 ReplyIt's not supposed to be given to new players quickly. I'm rank 74 D.O. So I actually think it should be increased to level 40. That way it shows your commitment to the faction.
-
1 ReplyBungie even said patrols and strikes will reward rep again, they accidentally broke them during up date. And you can turn in ammo synths, old armor materials, and motes of light for rep. Shouldn't be too hard to do, don't be in such a rush and enjoy playing the game. It's a grind guardian, gotta put in the time to get the rewards.
-
I'm rank 30 with fwc so it just takes time people should not be handed everything
-
It's an EXOTIC class item for people who have stuck with that faction for a long time
-
Ew no earn it like the rest of us. Stop being such a lazy self entitled shit stain
-
Doesn't take that long especially now that mats can be traded for rep. Since 2.0 I have been getting an insane amount of motes. 25 seems pretty reasonable, especially considering strikes and patrols not giving rep is a glitch.
-
This is one of the few things in the game you actually have to work for, it rewards the long time grinders and gives the new guys something to work for, it gives them purpose to do the grind. Take that away and its just like before. Pointless
-
Bounties are simple now. Each crucible game or strike give you rep. Something needs to stay in place as exclusive to those of us who have been grinding it out since day 1.
-
Bungie, do not listen to OP. He doesn't know what he's saying. Keep it where it is
-
2 RepliesYou seem to forget that new players get a one guardian boost to level 25.
-
2 RepliesIt does take longer to level up factions now so I'd say you're onto something. But I would not decrease it nearly that low. 20 is as low as I'd go
-
2 Replies25 is not that hard to get to. I was there a while back by just regular play. If you keep your class item on you won't even notice the level. I didn't even realize there was a minimum requirement until I checked the forums. If you plan it out the right way you can easily rank up once a week even with casual play.
-
2 RepliesThe quests are designed for those of us who have spent the time and worked hard to get our factions that high, it's not hard. You can get 2-3 ranks a week of your diligent
-
The people who are loyal and hard working for a faction should be rewarded. Not the casuals who don't put effort into these things.
-
-
2 RepliesI spent more time keeping the factions ranked evenly, instead of having loyalty to one specific faction. On my hunter I have everything at rank 9 or 10, if I was 100% loyal to a single faction I would have it by now. I don't like how you have to pay to pledge allegiance now either

-
2 RepliesNo. Just no. Grind like the rest of us, to get an exotic quest.

I didn't bother ranking up too much in vanilla and year one due to the fact that I wasn't into crucible until recently. I only started playing Iron Banner during HoW. Before you had to have crucible marks/commendations to buy anything. I only ranked up to get the occasional package. Oh well.
