Seriously. I can't help but thinking this is how it went down at Bungie:
Class Design and Balance Lead: "Boy, judging from these statistics, Titans are the worst Crucible class. We need something to help balance things out. Let's start with Blink. Hmmm. Instead of giving it to the Titans, let's give them something more fitting to compensate; perhaps an evade of sorts. A commando roll..."
Titan Class Design and Balance Lead: "That sounds like an amazing idea. It would really give Titans the answer they need to Blink without upsetting people with the lore. This really is a step in the right direction in balancing the Crucible."
Hunter Class Design and Balance Lead: "But, wouldn't it be super cool to give Hunters both Blink and Evade? I think so."
*roughly 50% of Bungie Employees agree, since they main Hunters*
*the other 49% of Warlocks are too busy buffing their version of Blink to notice, and the remaining 1% of Titans cry as they realise their inevitable bitter defeat due to lack of numbers*
Edit: I'm aware of a Titan Exotic which will provide an Evade whilst airborne. Whilst I'm extremely grateful something like this is finally happening the Titan still has it's disadvantages along with it:
- Not in base Subclass
- Must be airborne
- Must use an Exotic armour piece
Statistics:
- Top 100 Players on PlayStation - 15 are Titans.
- Top 100 Players on Xbox - 13 are Titans
- KD by Class from highest to lowest - Hunter>Warlock>Titan
- Crucible Average KD by Subclass from highest to lowest -
Gunslinger>Bladedancer>Voidwalker>Sunsinger>Striker>Defender

Edit: I tried looking at everyone's comment but I can't. My Notebook simply can't load up all the comments at once without freezing and is loading at a snails pace. I tried; I'm sorry.
Edit: To everyone grasping straws with excuses like:
- "Titan armour is too heavy"
or
- "Titans are tanks"
I say this:
1. Titan armour isn't some primitive design with pieces of metal slapped on the Titan. This is the future. It's lightweight, Titans can still be flexible. And while it's probably heavier than what Hunters and Warlocks use, you have to remember Titans are a lot stronger to compensate for the additional weight. This is comparable to the Spartans in Halo, who also have Evade. And since we're talking about practicality, why should the Hunter get Evade? The cape would surely get it in the way. -_-
2. Titans are not the tanks and are more akin to a Warrior. They are the fastest class, can take good damage and are designed to be in your face. They are not the slowest, they are not the tankiest. And let's try and remember that armour makes very little difference in Crucible.
Edit: "You aren't a real titan. Titans don't whine."
A real Titan doesn't settle for anything less than the best.

It technically is. Now you can slide shoulder charge you can reach greater lengths and evade preciscely which I also find fun to use.
-
23 RepliesI swear TITAN users complain about every fkn thing
-
You ll get evade on the new titan exotic chest
-
If you main a titan and say that titans suck in pvp, then it's just you. Plenty of titans have wrecked me in crucible. People need to stop depending on abilities so much and focus on their gun play.

1 ReplyEdited by PerilousMax: 9/14/2015 3:14:12 PMYou know what I truly burn for? The Titan jump 'Catapult' actually giving us a short, powerful thrust in any direction. E.i. Think the Shock Trooper from Battlefront. I want that speed, just not the distance.
-
Titans are intended, that keyword there of intended, to be tanks. Doesn't mean that's how the game worked out, but that's what they were supposed to be, so, in my honest opinion, I see no reason that they should have an evade, or blink if that needs to be discussed as well
-
We can already dodge mid air with shoulder charge.
-
Shoulder charge. It's op. Try it out
-
You look cute today
-
Calm down, bro. We're getting exotic boots that let us dodge mid-air. It'd have been nice if it was in the class, but its better than nothing. We're the fastest in the air if you're using better control, so this should be good for us.
-
There is an set of exotic boots for Titans that give them an air evade I'm pretty sure. I'm kinda mad too that warlocks don't get one at all, but i don't care that much.
-
Winning crucible is easy

use no land beyond
-
Agree
-
Titans do need a armor buff too
-
Titans are actually the most mobile class out of the 3, with a little thing called skating.
-
Hold up...you say Titans don't whine? Why you be here whining about not having blink or evade? I bet you're one of those Titans that puts blessing of light on in crucible. Quit giving us a bad name
-
2 RepliesEver heard of shoulder charge?
-
Edited by ItsAMeLuigi: 9/14/2015 3:05:12 PMDont they have that new exotic that gives them an air dodge? Use that. http://db.planetdestiny.com/items/view/3921595523

I'm picturing a titan doing an evade and looking the exact same as someone doing the "fat-roll" from dark souls. Titans need that fat roll, it'd be hilarious
-
Titans don't evade, they take the hits then hit back twice as hard TITAN SMASH
-
1 ReplyHunter was designed for mobility. Titans concept was to be tanks. Warlocks are the middle ground. You can't start merging the two archetypes, it would make the game unbalanced.
-
Thors hammer. Nuff said.
-
I think Titans are just bound to be PvE players. Titans are the kings of PvE with defender being the best class for it but at least you have shoulder charge that takes a mile to charge up so you can get shotgunned
