It's been publicly stated by Bungie that Microsoft passed on the option for exclusive content. So they had teh option but decided not to take it.
Again, I think you're looking for a reason to take offense. Construing a company offering video game content for sale as insulting is pretty ridiculous.

Wait, so they offered the option for MS to get the exclusive content instead? I didn't know that. Still just as bad as giving it to Sony though. When you already have a fanbase and you then withhold content from those fans based on their choice of console, yes, it comes off as insulting to said fans. Yes, it's business, my problem with it is that it's anti-consumerist business. Taking the route that they have has essentially alienated a part of the fanbase. This is made worse by the fact that the wait for exclusive content to be available to all is an entire year.

It's never been clear, but I believe it was actually for a separate set of exclusive content. Anyway, I think we're done with this conversation. You've somehow convinced yourself that content is being withheld from you and you've decided to be insulted. I don't think I'm going to convince you otherwise with facts or opinions, so I guess I'm done here.

Fair enough. You seem convinced that exclusive content doesn't alienate players and that no one should be bothered by it. If that's your take on it then so be it. At this point we're more or less talking in circles and I have things that I need to stop procrastinating on getting done, so good day to you.
