God forbid we get a little variety in our class gear, right? I've never cared for the super scifi-tropey cloak all the hunters have stolen from the past 4 decades of cinema, so I would rock the scarf that comes by default. It was nice because it was unique. Instead of being one of the countless Little Red Riding Hoods, my character stood out.
Well with this new update the last thing that actually made a character unique (aside from a dozen or so ugly pallette swaps) is now officially gone as it's mandatory to wear one of the six hoodies in the game that all look identical. Bungie took the one freedom we had and have now removed it. Now we're all identical drones. This is lame.
Same goes for the Titan as well. All the legendary class gear looks lame and the only one that looks decent is some green gear. Why are greens the only Titan class gear that actually look like Greek/Roman gladiator garb? Why do I now have to wear the same ugly ass-rag as everyone else?
Honestly, would it hurt to force the Art Department to put together something new over the past year? They didn't even create new art for enemies; they just added a thundercloud shader to the current enemies and called it a day. Why can't we have always-down hoodies, or short and long scarves, or capes or any other wealth of options that exist? Why does Bungie hate individuality?
Because individuality leads to independent thought which leads to people asking why Bungie makes the wrong decisions over and over again.
2 RepliesI'm totally with you. My favorite cloak was the Hardcase Cloak. It looked cool with everything. But now with the Taken King its got crap defense. And thus really shouldn't be worn. Whatever. Add that turning my Hopscotch into an AllFate, nerfing the crap out of any old perk (Field Scout really irked me) on now-obsolete guns, and taking away options for keeping anything I currently like using or like the look of ? Now know why it's called the TAKEN King. You don't get to keep anything you like.
