New to destiny any advice?
I just got destiny and there's so much to take in. Any advice? I'm a level 17 defender Titan

Don't bother with a raid when the guys who invited you are all 8 and have 700 gamerscore and have never beaten easy mode vault, just join 34s and let them carry you.

2 RepliesLots of toxic people out there. First things first (I'm the realest), after you beat the story, just grind strikes until you get to light level 25+, then you can try posting on destinylfg for a carry through a raid called Vault of Glass. This will help you get even better armor. I doubt you'll find anyone on there, because its mostly comprised of an unbelievable amount of narcissistic 12 year olds. Try maybe posting on here for a carry. Find some good people. If you're on XB1, add me [i]MyCreamyCankles[/i], I've been looking for a reason to play again and would not mind at all helping someone out. Good luck guardian!

Honestly get your money back. A lot of us assumed that there would be matchmaking, as there is with almost EVERY SINGLE FPS/MMO out there, at least the ones worth a shit, and with a decent playerbase. Destiny doesn't offer matchmaking for their raids, as a game that labels itself as a hybrid MMO/FPS this is a real problem, it shows a deep inexperience with the developers. Did you follow SWTOR at all? In the beginning the dev's were adamant about NO MATCHMAKING! Well, it now has matchmaking, but it's too late for that game now. If you want the game simply for the PvP then it's probably an ok deal, but otherwise, well, that's up to you. A big problem is a. you can't access whenever you want, because it's group dependent. b. you'll be at the mercy of people on the internet when joining/forming said raids, and we all know how that can turn out.

Leave while you still can! Jkjk make lots of friends so that when ttk drops, you can do the raid ect without having to LFG for too many hours

Get some good friends to play with. Arrange a day every week to run the nightfall and find a raid team you can rely on. Last of all have fun

Best thing is to just have fun with the game. So many people get way to invested to the point of raging at everything they see... So take the advice of others and probably stay away from the forums but just have fun with the game.
