No game ever should get 10. 10 should be super elusive that no game ever gets but comes close. Plenty of 10's out there hell most cod games get 9. Game critics are jokes

Game critics can only talk about the single player aspect If CoD MP went into the score, they would all get 3-4s because game critics suck at video games, they'd get mad and review low
-
I admit I might be missing your point here but I also might be wrong all together but don't they always talked about sp and mp in reviews or are you saying that they only based the score itself off the campaign... I get where you are coming from I think?
-
I think fallout 4 might be a ten, just saying

I'm excited to play it

-
10's don't come by that often. Been in gaming for equally as long as you have. Sure there are plenty of 10's, but not a ton.
-
The point was there should be zero of them out there
-
Edited by SoulEatinFool: 8/31/2015 4:58:10 PMA 10 doesn't mean a game is the best that's ever been made. It means there's next to nothing wrong with it, it's fun, and interesting. If you have a rating scale with an unattainable level then why have one at all?
-
We have different meanings of what 10 means. anyways we should have it for something to strive too a number you should always shoot for a target to aim at but never achieve. No game is nor ever will be perfect.
-
Edited by SoulEatinFool: 8/31/2015 6:13:14 PMAparently. I see no point in an unattainable standard. Creating a scale without an achievable peak is essentially creating a scale that doesnt work to me. It's saying 10/10 is an unrealistic level of perfection that cannot be achieved and that 9/10 implies the game could be better, it's a paradox. Of course any game could hypothetically be improved in some way almost to an infinite degree, but I prefer to look at games as they are rather than through a hypothetical lens of hindsight at what could be better despite being 99% perfect.
-
It's one of times where were going to have to agree to disagree. I see and understand your point of view just don't agree with it
-
Haha, that's fine, so long as you understand your scale is contradictory and paradoxical in nature :p.

Edited by wojo55: 8/31/2015 7:43:57 PMLol that's nice of you. Still missing the whole point having an unachievable score to shoot for. What game deserves a 10 in your version?
-
Edited by SoulEatinFool: 8/31/2015 8:05:40 PMHaha, we'll that's an interesting question as scores and reviews are subjective and influenced by the biases and personal preferences of the one give said score or review. Personally, I'd say games that have either unequivocally changed or revolutionized gaming for the better or games that have stood out above the rest, provided long lasting fun and replayability, and those old games that have lasted the test of time. Examples are Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros 3, Zelda (NES), Zelda (Link to the past), TLoU, MGS (Ps1) Super Smash Bros, Half Life 1 and 2, Megaman, Metroid. I could go on for a while but these are just some of my personal 10/10s. It is all subjective of course.
-
It is subjective I just wanted to know more about you as a gamer and what your taste was
-
Ahh, haha. I gotcha. I just like good games honestly. As long as I've been gaming there's not really anything I won't play so long as it's a decent game and it's fun.
