Why don't player use any other gun then Thorn?
Why can't players stop using thorn. I personally would be Impressed if player used something other then the thorn. Like red death or bad juju. Or something that don't eat you after you get shot once. Seriously.

Eh i get bored of using that like 2 months ago and I've been using different primaries from rare to exotics (i like the multi tool and hardlight)

Thorn is popular, but it's not the only thing in the Crucible I regularly get spanked by. Last Word, Hawkmoon, Party Crasher, Felwinter, Red Death, and various snipers have regularly pancaked me as well. Once the nerf/buff hits, new guns will become the go-to weapons. Maybe autorifles will enjoy a renissance.

It's a great gun I use it mostly for postmortem bounty then I put it away and might use it again if the other team has them all match. Other then that it's my trusty Fulcrum and gozen

It's just better than most other guns. Is a Hand Cannon, and leaves burning DoT effects which usually kill enemies even if I die. The only thing that could possibly be better is a rapid firing hand cannon with better damage...... oh wait.....

1 ReplyIt's powerful, easy to use, and they need something to help them. I got tired of two shotting and annihilating people with Thorn and TLW, so I stopped using them. Heck, I got bored of using exotics in general, so I usually only use legendary weapons and armor now. My Hunter is usually just running around in full New Monarchy armor and weapons.

Thorn is training wheels for crucible. Some folks just can't take em off.

When i scroll through what the people are using, i see lots of thorns. But they aren't the ones that kill me, usually. It's easy to shake a non-good thorn user. And it will be way easier at 2.0. Just wait.

I've used it more in pve than PvP. That said I don't care for it much.

If it's such a problem for you, fight fire with fire or look for a weapon that can beat them and work on your aim. However, if it'll feed your ego, I keep both the Last Word and Thorn in the Vault collecting dust. I can't get used to how either of them fire, so I looked for other weapons. I believe I found my calling: the 55A-AllFATE. It's a hell of a weapon.
