Wolves Expansion worth it with Taken King in 2 weeks?
Topic pretty much says it all. I'm looking to try Destiny again with the Taken King coming out. I think I have to buy both expansions anyways but i'm still trying to figure that out. BUt will any of the content in the Wolves expansion still be of value in leveling new characters or anything for my guy as the Taken King is realeased? Thanks!

One follow on question if this reply works correctly, should I just buy house of wolves seperate for the $20 so I can play with it for a couple weeks before TTK or buy the legendary edition that is TTK + the expansions. I do already have the first expansion but I either buy Wolves 20 + 40 TTK or 60 for legednary edition. Any reason not to start playing wolves for 2 weeks?

Yes, when TTK drops we start leveling up based on experience so all the mission from TDB & HOW will give you tons of xp. And personally if you haven't played crota, poe, too, then their all good for first timers.

Just buy the legendary edition, might as well as least play HoW content. It won't hurt and it'll give you experience to level up your characters. It'll also give you year one gear but you can at least scrap them for materials. It's value of good is subjective, so I wouldn't listen to any random post on here saying otherwise.

If you don't have any of the dlc packs, wait for Taken King to release and pick up legendary edition. Includes destiny and all dlc for $60. Just buying dlc would cost 75-80.

You will need to own both TDB and HoW to play TTK. If you don't own HoW it might be cheapper for you to get the Legendary Edition.

HoW had a grip of good exotics. Buuuuuuut they might not get year 2 versions so I dunno. If you really want to olay the story and get the emblems it might be a good idea.

You have to get the previous expansions to get the taken king. House of wolves was a little lack luster because of the rewards given out from the prison of elders. But it's fun to play through though. Trials of Osiris rewards was good but there is a cheating problem they are still working on but it's also getting new gear and rewards when the taken king comes out. If you want the best deal get the legendary edition. You get the base game, dark below, house of wolves and the taken king for $60.

Both prior expansions are required for TTK. You'll have to get it.

Edited by Athenacas: 8/29/2015 11:06:17 AMIf you don't have the expansions, I would recommend waiting for the Destiny/TDB/HoW/TTK package. House of Wolves was a great addition, but the best part of HoW, Trials, will be coming to the Taken King in a spruced up manner. Aside from the Exotics, most of the HoW content will go by the wayside with TTK's release.
