Why do people hate Thorn and TLW?
I know that both are OP, there is no denying that. But why are people so mad about it? It's just a game! This isn't real life or anything that is actually important. I play when I have free time and I'm not very good so I'll use the most powerful weapon available to me so that I can compete. People say "you have no skill if you use thorn" and "you are a noob" but is that really supposed to mean anything? Am I supposed to feel bad or be offended that someone says I'm not good at a video game? This community needs to stop taking this game so seriously.

Well a big fck you then, i want this game to get more competitive. Who are you to tell people how to approach their playstyle? I constantly aim to improve, and I will not stop doing so because of some scrub who helped ruining the pvp experience :)

I used to hate people who use Thorn, but I realised I can up my Armour and Recover stats by altering my Bladedancer's perks and wear the Crest of Alpha Lupi, if I am good enough I can still take people down with Red Death despite being Thorned. I don't give two hoots now if someone has Thorn. Ghorn though...

I use TLW but thorn isnt my playstyle.

Thorn I don't mind as much, it sucks but there are counters. The last word's range is shorter than a shotgun. However it will 2-shot you from across the map, let along up close. You can't outgun it unless they are a terrible shot. It should be a close range beast not an all range gun. The range nerf in the TTK update should put it where it belongs. Why people freak out about it is beyond me. If you can't beat 'em, join'em. The meta is Thorn and Last word right now. If you don't play the meta and get mad about it, it's no ones fault but your own.

It's basically their time to kill their the fastest way to kill so if u can't beat em join em and basically that's why everybody hates it not only does it mess up pvp but it forces the players to use the gun so they can win. I would never use it but I stopped it by using red death since I can negate the poison of thorn and heads hot quickly against last word. So if u don't like those 2 use red death until patch

3 RepliesTLW and modded controllers. Press one macro and fire off 4 rounds literally as fast as the game allows with the gun whose whole point is you don't have to aim. I don't know who at Bungie thought that was a good idea..

Destiny is life for some people, they get pissed off that they don't get the lambo. I don't have the thorn but I don't care who does, it's a good challenge to fight, you gotta learn to counter it

In trials you can use what you want but in regular crucible why use those guns...you should be learning a new way to play as a new meta is coming...get ready for pulse and scout and auto...I use pulse and scout...and will start using auto again..if you use nothen but handcannon and shotgun prepare yourself ...your kd is about to plummet

6 RepliesThey forget all the drawbacks to hand cannons because of the high damage. These drawbacks are: Low accuracy (compared to rifles) Small clips (usually) Slow rate of fire (very occasionally) Terrible sights (for medium to long range) Fairly decent amount of recoil/kick (sometimes) In truth, if you kill me with a hand cannon, I won't really complain that much.

Thorn is weak against scout and pulse....tlw is just a lil to fast on the kill...shotguns are what I hate

Don't really know. I have the thorn and have never used it in crucible.. i like the hawkmoon.
