I played the Dark Souls games to completion and above, but am I still guaranteed to have difficulties with Bloodborne? All I know is that you can move much faster, but then again so do the enemies.
Update: Bloodstarved....beast...ugh...
Update 2: Killed the Bloodstarved Beast, went on a bit of exploration, and now I'm at a prison where I keep respawning when I die. (Just found a lamp)

4 RepliesEdited by woupseaa: 8/27/2015 9:02:07 PMBest game of the year so far. Edit: my only problem is that the story is impossible to piece together

2 RepliesExplore every corner, the game has a lot of secrets. Bloodborne is my favourite game this year, it's a masterpiece.
Bloodborne > The Witcher 3
Learn the timing on the gun's parry. It helps a ton on most bosses. Ludwig's sword is probably the best weapon in the game, and it has an op charge when two handed that can stagger bosses Explore, guides ruin the fun, so don't use them unless you are 100% lost

3 RepliesI love the feeling of the gameplay in Bloodborne, I just suck at figuring out what to do next... I gave up on it after my friend stopped helping me. Only got to kill a couple of bosses...
-
The axe has one of the best power attacks in the game when it's held two handed though. But you have to learn it's timing when it's fully charged up
-
Blood starved beast is one of the easier bosses, at least for me. Wait till you get to Amelia, the fun begins.

7 RepliesVisceral attacks. Learn them. Also, if you're at the prison, you'll soon find the electric beast. This thing is mean as hell. Learn its attacks. Learn when to get out of the way. And when you get it at about half and it tries to back away, keep on its ass.

2 RepliesThere are 4 amazing weapons in the game - Burial Blade Blades Of Mercy Ludwigs Greatsword Chikage All of them can become pretty op with the right stats. Max out skill if you prefer Burial Blade and Blades Of Mercy. Max out strength if you prefer Ludwigs Greatsword. Max out Bloodtinge if you prefer Chikage. (Chikage is extremely op with max bloodtinge. Anything lower than 50 tho ain't worth it) You can use the first section of the Ailing Loran chalice dungeon as a great farming spot. There are in fact two anti-clockwise metamorphosis runes. They give you increased stamina, adding up to 35% additional stamina. First one, which gives 15% boost is found if you talk to a specific NPC in the game. I won't spoil it, but he's in a much later area of the game known as the lecture hall. The second one, which is a 20% boost, can be found via a specific chalice glyph for Ailing Loran. (Keep in mind you need to unlock the chalice in order to look it up via glyph) There's a video of the glyph on YouTube. Get good at visceral attacks. They help a lot. Don't be afraid to farm from time to time. Beasts are weak to fire damage. The kin is weak to electric damage. Get 40 insight. There are covenants in the form of special runes. Unfortunately, they don't give you much. You get these runes via NPC questlines. Hunter Of Hunters FTW!

1 Replystill my current GOTY. Yes I rate it higher than The Witcher 3. Play agressive, and do not give up!

Sell it and buy the Witcher 3.

26 RepliesEdited by Zanhattan: 8/29/2015 9:08:49 PMPump your stats into Arcane and strength. Get Ludwig's Holy Blade. Max out your Vitality at the soft cap.... And don't be timid. That Amelia fight seems hard but it really isn't. If you're too afraid to get in there, you'll have a hard time. Just go hard.

1 ReplyMy advice is to avoid getting help and to try winning on your own. That gets you the best experience

tell me how it is.
-
If Piccolo tell you to dodge then you probably should. Dooooooodge is all i can say
-
Now you gotta fight Amelia
-
Be aggressive it teaches you that in the first boss

1 ReplyThe initial lamp in Hypogean Gaol is a great place to farm blood echoes. You can use the descending stairs below the lamp to cheese the snatchers/hooded guys/bagmen. There are two more outside that you can lure into the room and the pigs outside go down fairly easily, you can again exploit the staircase outside to kill the first one. Once you're in Yhargul (outside), head to the right (down the stairs and towards the closed door) and grab the Tonitrus from the door, it helps with certain enemies later. There's a dead guy on a carriage who has the Yhargul set, which is one of my favorites for its high physical defense (and it looks awesome IMHO). I would probably recommend heading for Hemwick (sp?) Charnel Lane, the trip isn't bad, looks amazing in the evening light (something that most people miss), the witches are super easy and you get the rune tool after them, so you can start equipping runes (which are like rings in Dark Souls).
