Why doesn't anyone use the Vex in the crucible anymore?
I remember when anyone with the vex on the crucible would be accused of cheating and being a try hard but now nobody uses it. I know it has been nerfed but I've been playing with it all day and it wrecks everyone.
This is a perfect example that when people whine about something being "Way too OP" it gets nerfed then completely ruined.
From reading a few comments, I suddenly wondered something. Is anything good not going to be nerfed?!

Ok guys, I am going to play a game of skirmish with the following load out:
Sunsinger
Primary: Vex Mythoclast
Special: Praedyths Revenge/Secret Handshake (Depends on map)
Heavy: The Ash Factory
I will put the scores and all that up when I'm done.
Edit: I've just realise that I might have forgotten to save when I wrote what happened in the Skirmish match. I can't really remember what happened but I know that I beat a sniper on the other side of the map with the Vex (the anomaly) and I also overpowered a thorn user
Just had a game of Rumble. Only used the Vex and The Ash Factory.
Map: Rustlands
K.D: 2.88
Kills: 23
Deaths: 8
I came first and dominated the rest of the players. Only 1 crossfire and a score of 2615 while second place got 1695.

1 ReplyI alternate between the vex and thorn. Depends on the map. I like vex for medium range but thorn for close quarters.

I'd only use it for close range maps, then shotgun snipers happened. So now it is pulse rifle only and shotgun when someone is super close to me. :(

You know weapon crappy tuning that destiny have done.... the problem is that bungie decided to well.... break the vex a lot of times till it was a shadow of it was for ppl complaining about it.... same happened to suros, and for a time to the red death and many pulse rifles... now the vex case... its a special one... to many changes on it created a bug that we got used to it and bungie stopped seeing it as a bug (although they admited that it was a bug and they were gonna fix it lolololol). Thats the well recoild on the weapon that makes you miss half the shots on it from a range.... thats when it stipped being awsm.... in small maps rocks... but agains any other weapon from a distance... is no match

Vex is still my go too in anything other than trials

It's my go to PvP weapon. Probably cause I never used it pre nerf and know it's situational use as opposed to expecting it to wreck at any range.

1 ReplyAh, the good old days. I remember when this gun would blast the -blam- out of people. Got it on my first hard completion. It was my favorite gun to use in pve. Nothing else even came close. Post nerf the mythoclast lost power, (rightfully so), but I still manage to pull this gun out and still wreck. Long live the mytho!!!!

1 ReplyTo be fair the vex was pretty broken at first... You have seen footage of it right? 4 shot headshot with a very high fire rate. They completely over did the nerf, but it still should have happened.

1 ReplyIt's still beast, just not as good as it used to be. That's what happens when Little babies come into crucible and get killed by a gun they don't have. They whine and whine and whine till they nerf it. Funny thing is once they get it they cry out for a buff xD

I thought it was nerfed to oblivion!" I love the vex in pvp is my main choice to go to. But when there are thorns then I switch to Suros cause healing!
