WTF!? Just put infuse on year one gear...
Why wouldn't you put infuse on year 1 gear??...
What I propose:
Level all the year 1 gear to 160 A/D or whatever but put the infuse option on it. Keep in mind one legendary moved the Attack on Deej's gun like 8 points... getting to 280 alone is not going to be an easy task and will take a ton of legendary gear. Sticking with a 280 newby gun is going to be much more alluring...
For all the sheeple:
Yes, people will still seek out and use the new gear even if they have an option to use the old gear...
No, I am not saying the new stuff should continue to be the top tier stats on Sept 15, I do think we should be able to get it there though if we want to.

2 RepliesIf they're not letting them carry over, then fine. But all I ask is that they don't do something where they let them carry over later. Pick a course and stick with it. I don't want a repeat of going back to get vog gear I had dismantled when HOW came out.

3 RepliesMaybe because all year one weapons are level 20 gear... And the new weapons are all level 40. That's normal. Level 40 are suppose to be stronger than level 20

Yea it's dumb. If we want to use old weapons give us the choice those that want to move on can. It makes no since y they won't let then upgrade.

3 RepliesIf they tried to put infuse on year 1 gear it would take a lot of time and work. They would have to completely rework all the year 1 weapons and armor's code. If one even tiny little mistake was made it could completely bug all year 1 items in everyone's inventory and potentially risk having everything from year 1 being deleted. Also they want people to use the new gear they are working on because otherwise it would be pointless to make.

5 RepliesBecause they want you to use stuff from year 2 over year 1. Why would they keep let you invalidate the new content they added to the game? Try using different thing from time to time instead of staying with the boring old stuff.

But I understand why they don't, I honestly think they want us playing new content a certain way and some weapons just add too many variables for them to counter. This is the easy route, year two weapons for year two content

It's like they've never played any MMORPG style game before (inb4 telling me Destiny isn't an MMO - Please just stfu, we know). Gear gets left behind in your vault in all of these games. You break it out when you want to be nostalgic or just run around in the world killing lower level stuff. If you want to use the same gun for the entire life of a game please sell your Destiny disc and go back to COD.

....dude, most of the Bungie dudes that mad this game are back with Microsoft. The juicers left in the developers pool are trying very hard to turn Destiny into WoW......swords, hammers ect.......so they need you to buy in, and shut up.

1 ReplyThis is why it is probably a good idea to wait for the player reviews to come in after ttk drops. You'd like to think that bungie made a lot of cool gear that is equal to if not a lot better than what we have now. If all they did was make crappy how type guns that are only better because of a higher attack rating then that is pretty sad.

Simple. Because they don't want you to pick 1 gun and have that be the only gun. They want you to experience the game they created entirely. Even if they have to force your hand.
