I can't take Dead Orbit seriously
I simply cannot take Dead Orbit seriously. The whole premise of their faction is that they're running from the darkness.
New Monarchy wants to rebuild the golden age.
Future War Cult is preparing for what they feel is an inevitable war.
Why would anyone align with Dead Orbit based on their beliefs? Does anyone seriously believe in DO's mission to basically cut and run?
I'm convinced that at minimum 90% of Dead Orbit followers are only so due to the shaders and not the factional beliefs therefore I can't take Dead Orbit nor their followers seriously.
EDIT: So I actually have Revenant and have leveled DO, I just can't find reason to stick with DO...DO = Cowards has just been burned into my mind.

4 RepliesCompletely agree with you on Dead Orbit. I'm really unsure on why they are still on Earth, if they want to leave so badly. One could say they are the awoken who cried wolf... And who needs a black shader if you pre ordered TTK! I much prefer the New Monarchy over FWC, as the New Monarchy wants to return to the heights of humanity's golden age. They aren't afraid of going to war to do so, and are prepared for that eventuality, but are also willing to rebuild infrastructure, and regain lost culture. The FWC will survive the Darkness, but the New Monarchy will not only survive, but live as well.

The majority of people most likely don't put that much thought into it I have a different character leveling each.

Don't really care about faction beliefs I don't like how any of the future war cult stuff looks and the dead orbit stuff just looks the coolest out of the three

2 RepliesNew Monarchy I like the beliefs and the fact that Hideo watches the speaker. I think Hideo doesn't trust he speaker I fooled around with Dead Orbit but didn't really enjoy it

New Monarchy has the best weapons. Red Hand IX and judgement VI are really good. I like the Deadshot Luna from Dead Orbit though.

1 ReplyIt might be more important to me if their ideology was more obvious in-game. But right now each faction could be replaced with a kiosk and nothing would be lost. They are just vendors of mediocre crap, no more.

Black shader and awesome emblems. Dont care About backstory really...since we havent really had a chance to "bond" with a faction (sadly enough) so for most people iTS About the items only.

There's really no point in each fractions beliefs since it doesn't play with the story or have any real connection to the gameplay honestly they should make side with one and only one fraction to switches or redos and have that fraction have its own story line

One reason for NM, was because I liked the VA who plays Executor Hideo. Another reason is because they want to stay and fight. Also an old armor title was called "Justicar's Mantle (or somethingJusticar). It felt like the "Law" was willing to hire an outlaw bounty hunter to get shit down. FWC: Lak made a comment about my Exo, "Exoes are especially welcome in the FWC." Didn't really need more of an invite. As for DO, yeah screw them, first comment their leader said "Why stay and fight, why not run and start anew?" I was like "WHERE!? Sure, and the moment you run into the Darkness, you'll crawl back to the city. With a third of your forces destroyed and bitch the City won't let you back after your betrayal.... *mockingly* So, how was that new world you travelled to, was it everything you hoped?"
