Should destiny have a healer class, warlocks seem to have been supposed to be a support class however many warlocks don't play a supportive style.
Should there be a dedicated healing/medic guardian ?

To have a 'Healer' Class you would actively need a real 'Tank' Class. Destiny doesn't really provide a frontline tank class that is designed to absorb damage away from other classes in a meaningful way. I kind of wish that was how the Titan would play. You actively want to be shot at, your abilities draw more enemies to shoot at you, and you can absorb more damage before death than other classes. That Ram head warlock exotic literally breaks that paradigm wide open though......

2 RepliesMaybe as a future warlock subclass?
-
1 ReplyI would never play anything else. I am an excellent teammate but a horrible team leader. I am not aggressive and typically lose close quarters shootouts. I would play so well as a medic.
-
Doesn't blessing of light sort of act as a healing power? I know in HM Crota you can use blessing to regain life, but not sure if that's a glitch or intended. . .

Equip Lord of Wolves. Done. Want more?
Play a sunsinger and use song of flame to boost team cooldowns.
-
Maybe a ghost skin that boosts recovery.

1 ReplyThey would have to have something like as they do damage and get kills and recharges like a super they can use it slowly and when they want to heal, they should also have a medisniper that shoots healing darts into teammates and have lower health but insanely fast health regen and be able to super with another subclass and give over shields to whole team or protect them against burn or something, but I fear any medi class will ruin defenders

No point having a healer if you die in 2 or 3 hits.

1 ReplyEdited by TehPwnShow: 8/18/2015 5:55:01 PMIt would be useless. Your health in this game already recharges and it's not like in mmo's where is a huge health bar that depletes over time and you need a healer to maintain it. The healer equivalent in this game is the Hunter bladedancer or perhaps the defender Titan. And yes it'd be nice for hard mode raids and stuff where your shields don't recharge, but how many instances in destiny do you really not have recharging health? Barely any, so it wouldn't make any sense for them to include it

1 ReplyIf you didn't know, a Titan bubble with blessing/armor will heal you+ provide an over shield. But if you mean direct healing, we have guns, and perks to help us do so but I would enjoy a healer type subclass or class overall though.
-
1 ReplyI don't think they should have any more subclasses for our current classes but they should make a whole new class. It'd be freaking awesome
-
1 ReplyYea and they can also summon minions or something like that
-
We already have defender. Besides each class can get a quick regen with abilities
-
2 RepliesI could see a healer class for the warlock. Has non-lethal healing-bolt grenades (exactly like firebolt but green or something) and instead of it hitting enemies, it hits nearby teammates and heals them a bit.
-
1 ReplyThey should add more classes
-
7 RepliesIf they made it, I would be so happy. I usually play support in games.
-
1 ReplyI always assumed the warlock was the medic....
-
1 ReplyI think there should be a class that can throw down a grenade that is a pool of healing power haha
-
1 ReplyIts called the blade dancer. I dont even use arc blade for damage in poe, I just go invis when needed for the revives
-
1 ReplyThe hunter is closer to being a healer when using arcblade compared to any other class.
-
3 RepliesIf anything there should a Necromancer class on here. I felt like the warlock should bring the dead to life and have them fight for you. Sounds cool doesn't it?😄 Healer is a great idea too though.
-
5 RepliesHow would you envision the healer being implemented? With current mechanics and the extremely short TTK, a healer class that isn't built on buffs would be very hard to work (high twitch) . And right now, "buffs and damage prevention" are provided by the Titan, Warlock, and (soon) the Hunter Nightstalker subclass. The healer world need to do something genuinely new.

Medic of TF2 Everyone loves him but no one plays as him
besides me cause medic is fun
-
Would need more health for healing to be a thing. Also modified damage on both ends.
-
Titan defender is basically a healer. Makes the most orbs and have blessing of light which directly give health.
-
Equip lord of wolves
