Last two DLC's have been flops and yet here we are talking about the 3rd. =)
-
I'll still play

Destiny is done if TTK fails
-
the same thing will happen as every DLC release. people will come on here and bitch cause it wasn't exactly what they wanted. some will post the inevitable "i quit, cause i need attention to stop playing a video game" thread. other will be indifferent. and others will love it. destiny will continue despite all the "xxx will kill destiny" threads. since most people on here are attention seeking trolls not much will truly happen. i know this because so many people on here complain that there isn't enough to do in the game, yet continue to post the same crap week after week. ironic and hypocritical. the sign of a true community.

Halo and gears of war for sure

The amount of friends that I have that play Destiny is very low. They're all in other games. Trying to make new Destiny friends but it's difficult weeding out the furries and squeakers. I'm not about that Bronie Lyf!

Edited by Wowbagger: 8/18/2015 4:09:21 PMthey will then give it out for free in the future - and charge us money for cosmetic items (and maybe the odd gun).

Edited by Hippo_Legacy: 8/18/2015 3:59:25 PMDestiny dies. But if they've implemented even half of the changes they've been talking about, it won't flop.

It only flops based on everyone's individual opinion. TTK will be fine and be a great add-on to a really good game. Unless you are expecting the world from it, then it will most likely be a flop to you. It will still be business as usual even if TTK is good. Trolls and whoever will continue to bash this game for no reason other then they feel they have no other purpose on the internet. While gamers that actually enjoy the game and come here to talk about it meet mostly trolls and a handful of decent people.

1 ReplyThe 10 year plan will get a lot shorter.

I play something else

It won't flop. As a package to newcomers of the game the complete set for 40 quid is a great offer and to us already in the game we are all too invested to not get it. Not to mention the marketing campaign already in place for it online already. It's a win win for Bungie.

6 RepliesEdited by Gavrael: 8/18/2015 3:36:23 PMThe goalposts will keep moving. "We will finally get the game we were promised in Destiny 2" "Forge of the Gods is going to live up to the hype." "Comet 2 is shaking things up in a big way. Finally going to be the true Destiny." "Destiny 3 has matchmaking and private matches, finally. This is going to bring everyone back." "Traveler Saga is letting us explore Titan. This is going to be epic." Every time a new DLC or iteration of the game is released, the stuff we actually want is pushed to the next release by our own hope. It will never be everything it wants to be, and never be everything to everyone.

Well as I am playing ESO, smite and Magic duels origins atm waiting for TTK. I would assume I would just get 100% gamerscore in TTK and continue to play those games...
-
First I like Destiny I have 1300 hours invested lol but I will say this. Bungie is gonna need to step up their game. Let's face it they didn't have a whole lot of competition recently but soon they will. I'm still undecided about buying TTK due to Halo and Battlefront front coming out. I know for sure I won't preoder it. However if it gets great reviews I'll be there.
-
If it flops, I think some to include myself will probably bid Bungie adieu.
-
Activision will drop bungie like a hot potato.

10 RepliesEdited by D-Von, Kell of Tables: 8/18/2015 11:26:09 AMLook destiny wont die. After seeing the outright idiots preordering the ttk even after the bullshit that was year one, you can bet your ass idiots will preorder year 3 and 4, all the way to 10. They dont care what they buy. They dont want a story. They just want to sit down, and shoot aliens. In the end fanboys will preorder every year and bungie will be fine. The game cannot fail until everyone doesnt preorder off hype alone

Edited by KksGotTekkers: 8/18/2015 12:22:16 PMI don't think it will to be perfectly honest being the last dlc for destiny before 'destiny the shattered suns' (destiny 2) as rumoured, they will surely make it the best one yet
-
1 ReplyDestiny will die a slow and agonising death if TTK flops and Battlefront/BO3 is any good.
-
Then you lost 40 bucks
-
I don't think it will flop. Judging from the content it contains, I think it will be better than The Dark Below and House of Wolves combined.
-
Failing? How? Sales? Or how good the game is? I think it'll do well in both departments. Maybe fewer sales then expected, but the CE is sold out everywhere....
-
If it flops I leave. Simple as that. Feed up with absolute Bullshit every time I log in. I like RNG but there is too much and not a lot of guaranteed items in this game. If it flops Fallout 4 will be grinded as well as Halo 5
-
That'd suck, and a lot of people would give up, but honestly? I don't think it will flop based on how much confirmed content we've got coming our way. Plus Bungie is clearly using our feedback to improve on some things, that's a plus.
