1 ReplyEven after a very bad initial launch followed immediately by a terrible excuse for a DLC, followed immediately by a subpar DLC, there are still millions of active players. I think that answers your question. Imagine what will happen when the game actually gets good.

1 ReplyIt won't. But if it does, 5 people will still be playing by year 3.
-
2 RepliesMy guess is the game loses a large portion of its player base. Not everyone, the game will live on, but it'll start being more difficult to find raid groups, matchmaking will take longer, and the Tower will be even emptier. Bungie will put out a few more DLCs to try and recover the lost players, but too many will be jaded by how many times they've let us down, and Destiny will slowly fade to the annals of gaming history.

3 RepliesIt will flop. There is no doubt in my mind about that. Im just sticking around to watch it burn.
-
People have been asking this since Dark Below. And here we still are.
-
1 ReplyPlay PS2
-
1 ReplyLol. There had better be a damn good title coming to make this "flop". I'm guessing no one realizes the preorders numbers yet? Even after so many warnings NOT to preorder.
-
1 Reply*I want you to know that it's our time*

1 ReplyAsk for a refund..... OH wait... I wish it's like steam, less than 2 hours gameplay and within 2 weeks of purchase you can get a refund, But if they found out you are abusing it, they'll remove the option from you.

Going hand in hand with your original question, how many new players (not current players) will buy the PS4 special edition just for the Taken King? I'm not sure the hype will bring in that many new guardians.

2 RepliesIt's destiny 2. Think of it like the next cod, battlefield or other game you play. The difference is some of your content from the previous game carries over. I played the shit out of destiny and I'm sure I'll play the ttk a lot too. The difference for me will be, what other games coming out will take some time away from destiny. Don't know but I will always be back at reset.

It will be flopped. Simple.
-
A mate of mine used to say ; "If it flops , just thumb it in and go for it"
-
I'd still tap that but play more CoD and fallout 4
-
Nothing. To be a flop sales would have to be down Y/Y. Subscription would have to decline and profits fall. That is unlikely this soon in fY2. By the time you find out the numbers, a new DLC will be released to buffer the losses. It's business...

Its kindve hard to be considered a fail after year 1. Year 1 was a terrible game but super addicting. I just hope year 2 is super fun and addicting
-
End of the product.
-
Bungie and Activision won't have any more people willing to buy their product.
-
People will complain, people will gloat, people will change the way it is. If there are flaws that weren't intended to be in the DLC, people will speak of it and Bungie will change it. Like these damn updates that change stats of a variety of different things. I remember companies made games and played them as they were, glitches and all.

2 RepliesMe I can care less if it flops because I'm only plan destiny until Tom Clancys the division comes out after that you all can have this game
-
It will be the beginning of the end unfortunately.

More money must be thrown at screen

Nothing special...
-
I think it will stand up for the fact new players get all content for 70$

1 ReplyOnly way it will flop for me is if I don't enjoy it. If I do its not a flop to me Idc what the cry baby masses say about it many great movies had critics calling it bad
