2 RepliesThere will be a lot of salt on the forums.

2 RepliesDeej will die.

2 RepliesDestiny won't die, it has too many idiot fanboys. However Bungie's reputation will be destroyed and hopefully consumers will become smarter after getting burned so badly.
-
2 RepliesI highly doubt that it's going to flop. However, if it doesn't live up to my expectations by being way better than the last 2 DLCs, then I won't be buying anything else in the Destiny series.
-
2 RepliesI'll stop throwing money at the screen
-
I wouldn't waste any money. Am waiting for it to come at a discount.
-
It won't, but if it did then Destiny would just fail. Right there.
-
3 RepliesThen the population will decrease even faster than a couple weeks after HOW released.

Well even if it is a success you'll still get a handful of people who are disappointed and they'll leave. The big thing is retention and getting a new wave of players to start playing and retaining them as well. Then this game will continue to thrive

1 ReplyI'll be able to escape my addiction and go play the new Star Wars battlefront

-
I'll snap my disc in half and start cutting with it

1 ReplyIf it flops then just flip it
-
1 ReplyI will become the last Guardian :(
-
I will finally get to my backlog of games I need to play.
-
1 ReplyOh, you mean like the normal game? Yeah, it will be the same thing ALL over again. Doing the same mission over and over only the get nothing in return. I'm out...

People are addicted, it's a fun game to play wifh friends for the most part. The game is awful as far as the RPG aspect goes. The ability to edit a game along the way has had a huge impact on quality. Developers want to drive sales so they make an awesome looking trailer, beta test for maybe a couple weeks tops and say "oh, that'll do we can fix it later." Slam it on the shelves then release a patch of fixes with a "brand new." DLC. RNG is literally a god send for Bungie, until people realise the extent of which they're being shafted by this duo of Bungie & Activision, they will continue to be sucked in by POTENTIALLY "ok" DLC (honestly, quality-wise the previous content is majorly lacking. ) So long as this game type has even the minimal amount of appeal it has it'll be dragging its ass along the shelves for years to come. Question is though, who's going to do it better?

1 ReplyEveryone will blame Bungie and then completely forget it's actually Activision's fault.
-
1 ReplyI probably would be done for a while.
-
1 ReplyIf it flops, short term you'll see a lot of floundering by bungie and Activision in the next two dlc's, trying to figure out what it is players want, what made them leave and what it will take to bring them back. Assuming the next two smaller dlc packs don't bring back significant audiences, Destiny 2 will launch as a final gambit for the franchise, probably still backed by large amounts of marketing like vanilla destiny. If Destiny 2 flops badly as well, I imagine you'll still see some small dlc support, but if everything is failing at that point like you seem to be suggesting in this scenario, I think at that point they cut their losses and stop producing content.

1 ReplyEven after a very bad initial launch followed immediately by a terrible excuse for a DLC, followed immediately by a subpar DLC, there are still millions of active players. I think that answers your question. Imagine what will happen when the game actually gets good.
