I feel bad for you. Not because you needed to buy it from Xur, but you will never know the feeling of seeing a Gjallahorn randomly pop up on the right side of your screen and the bloody excitement you get. It's one of those moments in gaming that feels so good.
Now, you will never experience the joy of being Blessed by RNGesus

Oh well
-
1 ReplyI would like to see reaction videos to people buying it

Experienced that with Icebreaker. Don't need a repeat. Thanks, Xur!
-
I bought one week 2 and RNGed 4 since then, buying is better, get 4.
-
No worries, had that feeling when my Hawkmoon dropped. Glad I got to buy a Gally (3) to try it out.
-
I had a tree where I would grow my " -blam!-s to give ". It died due to drought. I no longer have any -blam!-s to give.

I agree with you. I've been lucky with other exotics so I know the feeling of excitement. A few days ago I got Thunderlord in regular crucible and I was practically jumping up and down. I've been wanting gjallarhorn, but I wasn't obsessed over it, so I'm happy regardless. I probably won't use it much anyway
-
If someone is going to get this mad over a gun in a videogame then you should probably not play thos game anymore and not try to just ruin peoples day who got gjallarhorn today
-
I've already had that moment before in countless other loot based games. RNGesus has visited me before, we are old bros.
-
This is exactly what I told my friend
-
I kinda agree with this I remember being so PUMPED I got it

Edited by R0meo4125: 8/14/2015 10:49:30 PMYup, these kinderguardians will never know what it is like. I'm buying 2 more gjallarhorns for my characters now.

Anyone who gets excited over a Gjallarhorn dropping randomly is a goddamned idiot. It's a gun obtained by pure RNG. Nothing you ever do can make that earned because it's always luck of the draw and barely connected to your effort or work at all. I remember when mine popped; I noticed that I got one before my friend who I did a nightfall with did, and though I was the last person in our group of people to get one I literally wouldn't have even reacted had he not said something. Rather than that, I was much more excited when I finally got my Mythoclast around my 30th run of VoG having been a forever 29 back in the old days. That was something I put in the work for; I knew that it was a specific item in the loot table of a specific checkpoint of a specific activity, and with that in mind rather than just praying for one from the heavens at some point during my play, I didn't give up and rather than truly gambling like how the Gjallarhorn is obtained, I tried over and over until that set of rules rewarded me in a specific way that wasn't just pure luck. Bungie clearly didn't intend the gun to be this end-all solution like it's become. You're the only ones who think it's that special, but that means nothing if the ones who created it tell you it wasn't supposed to be. To value a system as shitty as pure RNG over the more balanced loot systems present in some of the best online games(loot tables, where you aren't just mindlessly grasping at straws hoping for the one that gives you what you want) is a sign that they fvcked up more than anything else, and that the playerbase has taken it too far.

Not gonna lie, I almost cried when I got mine after 7 months of playing. Got it from 28 POE of all places -.-
-
I will never know the feels of raid teams :(
-
Remember xur sold it once before... it's not like it wasn't going to happen ever again. Try to win a game of trials. That's far beyond a good feeling you get over a ghorn
-
Edited by Drrtbag: 8/14/2015 10:41:27 PMActually, when I bought my hard earned gjallarhorn last night it did randomly pop up on the side of my screen. It was quite a rush.
-
U sir r a piece of ish...I've had many drop but who cares...it's a video game !!!
-
Way I figure it... The "joy" I'm missing out on for getting a RNG Ghorn doesn't hold a candle to the cumulative disappointments of seeing others who barely made a dent in a Nightfall/raid getting one. Still burns having soloed an Omnigul Nightfall only to watch a brand new friend join in last minutes of an epic battle(their 1st ever Nightfall btw) to do paltry damage, kill no adds and get a Ghorn...
-
I got my Gally from an engram about two months after the game came out. If getting a Gally is that exciting in your life that's sad. It's not the first time he has sold it. Let everyone enjoy it and stop being a baby. I'm sure you will have more exciting experiences in your life.
-
Sorry but the reaction people have when they log on find xur and see the gally setting there is the same reaction
-
Yes I distinctly remember Christmas being horrible when I opened toys because I didn't buy them myself
-
Tbh felt better buying 2 than getting one to drop from a nightfall
-
Who cares it's a weapon
-
Actually seeing that he finally had it after all this time is more memorable than when I got it from the nightfall. Now I have 2 more so I don't have to switch it around :)
