I feel bad for you. Not because you needed to buy it from Xur, but you will never know the feeling of seeing a Gjallahorn randomly pop up on the right side of your screen and the bloody excitement you get. It's one of those moments in gaming that feels so good.
Now, you will never experience the joy of being Blessed by RNGesus

I have to say I agree 100 percent

This is true
-
Got mine from my first HoW nightfall. I felt nothing. I got my last exotic weapon that day. And it was empty.
-
I got it from rumble
-
I hate all these posts about the gjally and xur but I have to say you are right. Getting mine from deathsinger and seeing it pop after 800 hours was my destiny highlight. Shame people will miss out on that. Oh well least others get to use it before it's nerfed.
-
12 RepliesXur is RNG too. RNG just happened to bless more people today than he usually does. Everyone who still needed a Gjallarhorn before the day started, all lost their collective minds when they saw Xur was selling it, just like anyone else lost their mind when it dropped.
-
12 RepliesIt about to be NERFFED. Enjoy it noobs. U got 3 weeks
-
I don't hate that Xur sold Gjallarhorn. Now I'm more likely to have a full fireteam with Gallys to take on Oryx. But I agree with you. The only reason I didn't want Xur to sell it was so you could experience the excitement of having it finally drop for you. But sentiments aside I'm glad he sold it
-
i've never felt any kind of excitement over a drop in this game, i doubt gally would have been any different! its a rocket launcher WOOPTIDO lol
-
I agree
-
So true I bought today and that's what I thought to myself I didn't feel like I thought it was but I had to buy it
-
Gjallarhorn*
-
I bought it with strange coins. But if it ever drops for me. I will be just as stoked as the time Red death popped out of a legendary engram. (before they changed how engrams worked)
-
3 RepliesMost are still waiting for hawkmoon and 4th horseman. They are now the unreachable goal for many. I think they got that feeling when they saw Xur was selling it.
-
1 ReplyHow much hours combined (all 3 chars) have you played? I can tell you after 3000+ hours I only had 1 Gjallarhorn from the RNG and there's nothing to be excited about. Seeing -blam!-ers that have spend less than 500 hours already have 7 Gjallarhorn because of the RNG just doesn't make any sense to me.
-
-
Idk, i got my first one maybe 2 months ago, and i have to say i was jyst as exited to see xur sell. I bought 2 more snd was just as giddy to max em.
-
I "earned" my first. I use the word "earn" with tongue in cheek since it's a completely random drop. Honestly, if you had gally pop up on the side of your screen in less than 300 hours, I would say you don't know the true desperation that comes from waiting and waiting. Mine dropped at 555. Now I have 3. I'm content.
-
Had 5 before today. Bought 3 becuase why not. Opened gold package in trials, got anouther gjallahorn....fml.
-
3 RepliesI know the feeling of seeing xur sell the gjallarhorn on my phone. Same response
-
Wow! A post that isn't being all butt hurt about Xur selling Gjally!! THANK YOU SIR! Thank you for expressing opposition to it without being a child! This community needs more people like you!!! Keep up the great posts!!!
-
No difference. It's a game
-
Meh - perspective, its so individual. Ghorn is like when many people tell you that some movie is the best thing ever, "OMG; flap; flap; it's the greatest; you need to see it!..." Then you watch the movie and go "It's ok, don't get the hype" . Boils down to expectations. Once they are set so high the reality will never equal the dream. Like dating a super model, behind every one of them there's some guy sick of their shiiit.
-
I had that feeling with Ice Breaker, Vex, Thunderlord, and last word. Ghorn is no different, I feel bad for all the elites pricks who died this morning, they won't be missed of course, but still.
-
Oh well
