Year 2 players are the ones bungie is focused on, and that mentality is what is going to ruin destiny.

1 ReplyAlpha-Beta-Day 1 player here. You can't find running crucible, nightfalls, raids etc on any given day. Also just preordered ttk so I can get the suros pack as well. I'll be here until I'm not enjoying the game anymore.

While i love most of the Og gear especially dustwalker and VoG gear for hunters, but Im looking forward for all the sick ass gear that'll be here next month. Been here since the beta and im probably gonna stay for the ten years (if it goes as planned).

Beta player here- I don't really agree with the statement "would make it easier" for me I worked my butt off against the original RNG to get he gear I wanted. Because I started seriously raiding only a month before tdb (I was a forever 29) I never really got to enjoy my triumphs from the vault. Then it all became useless. Lol I just got my first fate bringer a few weeks ago- and I'd like to use it. I'm never going to dismantle all the vanilla gear that I have because it's fun to play with. Plus I really think they should allow raid gear to progress with you because otherwise what is the point? I've always seen them as weapons to help you get to the next level. I believe kiosks that can store weapons from each era of destiny would be a cool thing too. It would allow players to hang onto sentimental favorites without having the vault or player inventories full of less used items. Definitely staying for TTK and beyond, because I can't wait to raid and raid Sherpa again!

Those who moan and groan and bail because they're weapons are now obsolete are the people I do NOT want to play with. If you bail because mgs 5 looks dope that's one thing. But don't bail because you miss your guns.

A lot of Beta/Day 1 (including me) are a bit irritated that Bungie hyped up the "Build your legend" pre-launch and part of building that legend was supposed to be your weapons - having to scrap a bunch due to restricted vault and lack of ability to progress, then getting to level the ones we actually kept, and now being told they are going to be for the most part obsolete, is in conflict with the original "build your legend" that a lot of us bought into Hard to explain to those that came in later what a big deal the idea of having your personal arsenal/vault become such a big part of your character's identity aka: legend - I think ripping that away like it appears TTK will do is what has caused the angst in vets

Haven't played for a while, the only thing stopping me from buying TTK now is Metal gear dropping sept 1st. I like destiny, but I like Metal gear more.I know they are two different types of games, time won't allow for both. I wiil buy TTk, but not right away.

How does ascending year one gear screw over new players? Its not like they stopped people from doing the raids, and everyone had to start from scratch when it came to getting etheric light vet or not.

Ok picture this as a movie trailer ok, a warlock, Titan or hunter what ever you play ok, he or she,in a dark room , wiping a fatebringer he finish puts it on a vault then he proceeds to grab a vision of confluence puts it in the same vault, then grab a shadow price wipes it down really good and clean checks for ammo puts it into the same vault then last but not least a big boy swarm machine gun he checks it , cleans it , put it away , after that he gets up start walking really slow gets out of the room you can only see a shadow by now and closes the door ........................... 1 ReplyYear one checking in. I'm not playing much right now because there really isn't anything left for me to do right now. I've done everything and have all exotic weapons. I've been flawless beat skolas etc. I feel like I shouldn't waste my time right now because most of my stuff will probably be useless. I'm ok with this though as long as there is good replacements. Another contributing factor is its summer time and I have a lot of things going on outside plus I work full time. I'll be back when the weapon update drops and then the taken king.
