Edit: This is not an argument about age, but about maturity and approach to gaming. If you don't like the idea of weapons being replaced quit now and don't buy TTK. It will just happen again next year.
Genuinely interested to know if all the complaining is coming from a particular part of the community.
I would have thought the more mature gamers would care less about the loss of year one gear and welcome the changes, where as less mature (NOT IMMATURE) gamers feel otherwise.
Edit: It seems most people are welcoming of the changes. It also seems to come down to how much you've played the game.
I totally get if you've put 1500-2000 hours in and relentless grinded to get that elusive gun, but no one forced you to do it. You are an architect of your own downfall and if the changes aren't to your liking then just stop now and shelve Destiny, because it will happen again next year.

2 RepliesNot age.. But the more experienced players tend to be more mature and accepting. As they know this is the proper way to conduct ones self if they wish to prosper online.

Eh, I'll find another legendary scout rifle to use. No biggie.

im happy

Edited by XxmochaxX8: 8/8/2015 9:32:39 AMIm happy about it definately tired of using the same weapons some diversity will be nice

9 RepliesI'm a mature gamer and it bothers me... The only reason I will purchase TTK is because I play with my son. Bungie have made -blam!- up after -blam!- up and I see no reason why this will change. Waiting this long for a weapon balance and doing it at the same time they introduce more weapons than currently available is pure insanity.

I can't wait for my fatebringer to die. I depend on it too much because of how good it is. I want something to outclass it.
-
Im kinda sad about it just because I've grown attached to using certain weapons but newer and better stuff is coming and it helped motivate me enough to clear my vault of legendaries I don't need or can get again at any time :')
-
Does not bother me, bothers my 12 year old son more. I dont mind ascended guns not going forward to year 2, as most of us have used them enough already. However, guns that have been earned in last month from Skolas or trials, native 42 level guns out of the bat I have not really used and it would be nice if they had some longevity.

I've been giggling at Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards for the past two days after having not played it for probably a decade, so I don't think mature fits the bill. I think moving forward with weapons is good, though. I just wanna keep my exotics and the legendaries are replaceable.

I don't care and I'm not mature. 30 years and counting.
-
Ive put in close to a thousand, and i'm delighted to see the changes. It encourages progression, creates fun! No point trying to hold onto old guns for the next nine years.

Its the more mature ones who don't blow up the forums yelling every gun and super is OP and should have been nerfed yesterday.

I guess more mature guys don't have as much free time. I mean I have a wife, Job and kids. I finally went flawless this weekend in trials. And my adept scholar is going to be obsolete in about a month.

Edited by SnakePayne86: 8/8/2015 6:33:35 AMI play a lot with this older guy, he's like a retired teacher in his 50's. Nobody's grinded harder then this guy, I mean he's retired. He's most disappointed about the gjally nerf because he just got his a couple months ago. So back to topic, I don't care. I like the game. If I like the game I buy the next one, simple as that.

Edited by The-Iron-Duke: 8/8/2015 6:30:27 AMThey just want to make the game (artificially) longer, not harder. It's BS. Plus it's just all the kids with no commitments that don't care.
-
Edited by US Rbl: 8/8/2015 6:20:01 AMI'm a grown ass man. And its stupid that they want to stop with the olddd. I do have 1500+ and destiny already has been shelved. Only bad kids with crutch weapons exist.
-
Just because people don't like leaving old legendaries behind doesn't make them immature.

I love moving on from old gear

Edited by Swiftlock: 8/8/2015 4:00:07 AMThe real problem is that the weapons that came out of the expansions were, for the most part, not worthy successors to the Fatebringer or Vision. At first I thought the Prison weapons were some kind of joke and Bungie forgot to give them proper perks or something. The few decent guns that did emerge such as certain hand cannons, shotguns, Black Hammer, and certain pulse rifles... are facing nerfs. There are just so many design problems with the weapon pool. Bungie even regretted making the FB and VoC decent guns and vowed to tone down on making them so useful. What does THAT say? That's the heart of the reason why players are so frustrated. It all comes down to whether or not Bungie will make the future weapons actually worth putting our old gear down for - like any proper expansion should.

I'm mature and I don't care about it yeah it suxs but really excited for new toys and the taking king I love this game and don't complain or bitch about it. I'm 32 by the way and also been playing since day one I love all the changes there making and enjoy the game as well. My line is we have walked a mile in our current shows and there worn so I'll go get some new shoes as walk the next mile or two. I put my own twist on it but professor broman came up with that line and I love it.

I think it's fine either way. I see both sides of the discussion. I don't really care either way, the game will go on and we will keep playing. It's a little pathetic for people like you to have to discuss the feelings of others. Feedback of any kind is important to Bungie. If people are whining it won't change TTK but at least Bungie will understand what their fans are thinking.

1 ReplyWhiners are gonna whine dude, idc what they do with the weapons I love this game

I'm excited for the new weapons and armor pieces to grind for
