3rd R2 Trigger is on its way out already..bought this controller not even 2 months ago! will be going back to Walmart to replace it with a new one... FOR FREE...the cycle never ends...lol...this gen sucks!
how many controllers/triggers have you gone through?
i never had the analog sticks wearing off, but i've replaced the r2 trigger twice on my first controller that came with the destiny bundle...but now its suffering from the pressure sensitive problem, can't even do burn outs in GTA V.. sigh
What problems do XBONE users have?

1 ReplyReplace ps4 with xbox one and it's fix'd

Edited by Tenacious_B: 8/5/2015 7:39:53 PMAll 4 r2s broke for me. Take controller apart, remove hinge spring and it works like brand new, no more sticky r2. Has worked for over a year now and you can mash all you want. You cant even tell the difference. Saved you a trip to the store... Did this to all 4 controllers

I own Xbox One and I have frequently played the PS4 at my friends house. They are both garbage. Xbox One is smaller and a little harder to control. PS4 has an awkward feel to their joysticks and I always slip my thumb when using it.
-
I don't find anything wrong with it except for the triggers. The Xbox controllers felt like they were made for a 2 year olds hands.
-
1 ReplyPs4 don't suck because of this http://bosscade.com/d?r=2Y5VYth8

I have owned two controllers since day one of destiny. The one from Walmart, R2 trigger squeaks. The white controller with the destiny bundle is fine. I know that I do not play as much as everyone else may.

My joystick is -blam!- ed!! There is a groove under the pad which sticks when i run. I need to go outside.
-
I think you might be doing something wrong with your controller. I bought my Ps4 at launch of the console and my controllers still work.
-
I've never actually had issues with the durability of the controller. I mean sure, the batteries run out pretty quick, but I've been using the same controller for over a year with no problems... Do you often throw controller out of anger?
-
Edited by Striker93175: 8/5/2015 6:02:37 PM4 controllers. Started buying triggers off eBay. Now I just removed the spring no further issue but the trigger isn't as tight. The problem stems from the fact that it's a plastic hinge where as the ds3 was a metal hinge (it's not even a straight shaft it's just two tabbed notches). Unless you squeeze light and straight down they snap. You can also mod it I've yet to try but there are vids on YouTube that show people installing a make shift metal hinge to fix it permanent. Edit: look on sonys forums it's a very known issue. Some are even pushing towards a class action suit.

I've never gone through any problems because I'm on Xbox one.

1 ReplyI'm on my third controller since release. The last one I replaced multiple R2's, 1 L2, and the left stick. My original Xbox one controller, still fine. Though I've doubled play time on ps compared to xbone.
-
Mines actually doing pretty good other than no more grips lol, I've actually gotten used to playing without them and think they feel strange now. The only r2 I ever lost on this one was wen I accidentally stepped on it :o
-
I have the same controller since I bought my ps4. It's either your not very bright, or you treat them like shit.
-
I've had a PS3 since it came out, and I've only used one controller. It's as good as new.
I don't mash buttons and when I get mad I take it out on couches instead of controllers.
-
I've never had any problems with my PS3 or 4 controllers.
-
Edited by Darth Zannah: 8/5/2015 4:58:00 PMThe analog sticks on the ds4 are absolute shit and wear down in a couple hundred hours... Sad
-
Stop throwing your controller then. I have only 1 ps4 controller for this past year. No problems at all.
-
Edited by deathwolfclaw666: 8/5/2015 4:40:58 PMhad no problems with either control only downsides was low battery life and no way of switching packs with PS4 and the cool little features from the PS4 control that would have been handy to have on X1 control, also X1 random wireless disconnects lol now the consoles are another story
-
I still have two day one controllers because I don't treat my property like shit.
-
The only controllers I've had problems with were the Xbox 360, the rubber on the sticks is too fragile, and the triggers break down easily. Otherwise, my several month old Ps4 controller has no damage. I'm not sure what you've been doing to it, but I'm sure it's operator error.
-
Only problem I've had is the rubber in my left analogue stick cracked and I had it replaced. That was a launch edition from a faulty batch. No problems since.
-
Xbox controllers last forever..... Unless you drop them all the time..... Like me
-
2 RepliesI've been using the same controller for over a year now without any issues. Mind you gran turismo 7 isn't out. If it was, getting the S license would guarantee me going through a couple. That damn test makes me throw my controllers so much.

Stop abusing your gear. Still cracking on my launch day controllers, they easily have at least 1500 each and not a single issue.
