my thoughts are that destiny's playstation specific content is wrong. i get the need to cater to your investors, but at what cost. you see i think its bad for business. when you reward one group of players simply because they own a playstation is the same as punishing the other group who owns an xbox. never mind that we still get it IN A YEAR. from a customer standpoint as one whom preordered the game with the season pass, i feel cheated. i paid for something only to find that i dont get all of what i paid for when i should. and as a customer i feel like bungie is saying "thank you for playing playstation and F**K YOU for playing xbox, you know cause we hate microsoft and all". when ideally is what bungie should have done was have console specific DLC for both consoles and in one year the combined content became available to ALL players. cause you see. it may be the investors that make the game. but its the customers that BUY the game. and when you insult half of your player base, those customers become much less likely to keep buying your future releases and DLC. maybe Bungie will actually GIVE A S**T and heed my advice in the future. cause as an insulted customer, im not feelin hot on the idea of buying the next game.

    • Just stop, if you want to blame someone then it's the companies that started this. The devs are just trying to make a little more money of their effort.

    • Go check out the Xbox exclusives in Fifa and come back, at least you don't get one full third of the game locked out FOREVER not just one year

    • Yeah, it seems wrong to me. I'm fine with them excluding the weapons, but the strikes really piss me off. I paid just as much for this game as any person on playstation, but I get locked out of 2 strikes, which I paid for, for an entire year. That is complete bullcrap. Strikes are a big part of destiny, and I only get 7, while playstation players get 9 for the same price.

I agree with certain points of everyone's opinions. Having an exclusive is one thing, but to have a year long exclusive is a bit pushing it. I don't know of any game that's ever held exclusivity on a multiplatform game for that long.. Yea, i have an xbox one but that's not my reasons.. i can care less about the fan wars and things, but the length for the exclusives... Don't you think its a bit much?

Pointless repetitive thread showing little or no knowledge of commercial practices. Xbox has plenty of similar deals on other games, think FIFA where they paid for exclusive legends. Whilst we live in a free capitalist society, this thing will happen. Perhaps you would prefer a hard left state with no choice on anything, which incidentally have failed in all examples throughout history. Muted.

        • Considering exclusive content has been around since the birth of consoles, I highly doubt your advice will even be glanced at.

          • I'll make you a deal. We'll give you the Destiny exclusives from pre ttk right now and take away future exclusives, and you give us halo. Every one of them.

              • How many people bought xbox 360's to get CoD map packs early? Same idea. And it's no different from a game developer to decide to produce a game for only 1 console. Get used to it.

              • It's bad business from a consumer standpoint...but from a business standpoint it's not only normal but almost expected...and not exclusive to gaming. You may be loosimg out (from your view) but how many ps4's sold because of that timed exclusive?

You should be against all timed exclusives. Just because it falls out of a time frame that you deem unfair it's bad business practice? It sucks but it's been going on for a long time. If you are so outraged by this practice then don't support it with your money. Don't waffle on this just don't buy it. On a side note, it's strange that people would choose neutral on this poll after choosing to read this thread. It's not like we are giving an opinion on abortion rights.

                • "Whom" is used in reference to an indirect object in a sentence not the subject In your sentence above "the player" is the subject and he/she ordered the game. The game is the direct object and in this instance there is no indirect object So clearly it should be "who" not "whom" If the player were ordering the game for someone then that someone would be the indirect object of the sentence and would answer the question for whom the game was purchased by the player Oh and also you're wrong about the ethics thing, Xbox has had exclusivity for various games for years so please...get over it Thanks

                  • the thing that annoys me as an xbox user, is the duration of the exclusive content, IDGAF if they have it otherwise but a whole year, is a bit much, maybe 1-3 months would be more acceptable in my mind.

                    • I don't have a problem other than length. 1 year is a little excessive. Even with cod ps users got it within a month or 2. That's my 2 cents. The only 2 I really want are hawkmoon and Monte Carlo.

                      • Sell your house and everything you own. Then hit up bungie and sign a contract for xbox users to get their own exculsives.

                      • The problem I see with it is that even though it's Playstation specific, not everyone on Playstation has their exclusives, and they might only get them when the exclusives are on xbox as well. If it's an exclusive, it should have been guaranteed for Playstation users in some way, such as an exotic bounty.
