My boyfriend and I just moved into a new apartment last week, and we have a cat and a dog. The cat seems to love it, although he meows a lot more now and sleeps a lot more as well (seriously I've never heard him meow this much lol). The dog seemed perfectly fine until last night. Last night at like 4am I was woken up by him jumping on the bed, standing up and staring into the closet/bathroom doors as he barked and growled. I calmed him down and told him to stop so he did and he curled up at the foot of the bed which he never does. I went back to sleep but was freaked out. Now it's 1am, my boyfriends asleep and the dog did the same thing. He slowly walked into the bedroom while growling then once he got on top of the bed he turned to face the same doors and began barking/growling again. No he's laying in front of me on the bed (which he never does) and hasn't stopped staring at the doors. He keeps growling and barks every couple minutes. I can't see anything and he can't see his reflection so I don't know what to do. I'm a little too creeped out to go to sleep. Has anyone else's dog done something like this? Edit: my cat snuck into the bedroom without me noticing and started using the bed as a scratching post. I felt claws grab my knee while I was using my phone and I'm 99% I peed. Edit: the dog just slowly went into the living room. A couple seconds later he started [b]howling[/b], not barking. I called his name and he ran back. -_____- I don't have time for this. Update: I turned on the lamp and everything's back to normal. The dogs asleep on his bed and the cats in his normal spot. Don't want to turn off the lamp yet. Edit: alright night #3, the boyfriend just went to sleep and the dog is laying on my legs on the bed. let's see if anything happens.
