A needs love, too.

16 RepliesSo, if you spawn near A, everyone goes straight to B? Okay. Using your tactical logic, even IF you control B, the other team caps C, then seeing that A is uncontrolled goes there. The opponent then controls two zones. Now what? Run from B to C? Well, while you are running half your team to C you end up losing B anyway. The difference is your opponent, having captured two initial zones to your one, now has their supers before you do. Result? You end up losing ALL zones and have to play catch up. Bad strategy.

I spawned next to it.
-
Can swag be an option?
-
Either we spawn there or they took C. If they took C, I'm taking A just for the extra points until we can get C back.
-
Because I have that stupid cap 10 points in Iron Banner bounty and it's always available.
-
I did eat too much paste as a child, but that has little to do with capping A. There are lots of reasons -- better to have ANY zone than none, better to have two than one, nice to go mess with the enemy (though that's not really capping, just neutralizing). If you hold B and C, then sure, you may not want to cap A, but sometimes when your team needs a zone, any zone will do.
-
While your Dumb ass is busy getting your pecker spanked trying to cap B, I've capped A, doubled the teams points and have set up a spawn point near heavy ammo. If you can't play spawning from A, you stink.

D was occupied.

If I spawn at cap A at the beginning of the match, then I'll cap it. If I'm running a cap bounty, I don't care which one it is, as long as there are only two capped - there's a strategy for each scenario. If my team has some misguided tryhards who think "all three is better because I get a compliment from the announcer," then hell, I'll just roll with it.

1 ReplyBecause it's better to have A and C and not B and C? A+C=Vice. You'll have them attack either A or B, which are easier to defend. Lose one? It's easy to get it back since people like you don't protect them. If you want to hurt the team, you can just push on them at B.
-
Because it annoys you.
-
Because "Show them no Mercy guardian!"
-
Because my team started at it
-
1 ReplyBecause J Cob 55's team is a few thousand point behind mine and I want a crushing victory at the end.
-
1 ReplyAnd Blind Watch. I cannot count the number of times I have lost a match where we were winning on either Shores of Time or Blind Watch because some idiot decided that having B and C just wasn't enough, no they go and cap A also.
-
1 ReplyBecause I spawned right in front of it ._.
-
Because it works well assuming an even kill trade with randoms at B. If they have C then you'll get beat in a kill trade if you don't have A. So cap C and then rush B or C. If you have part doing each then very likely you'll get at least one. If you get C then it should be easy to pinch B. If you get B then all you have to do is kill trade. Or you can keep pressing towards C and flip from there. Now for clan play yeah straight rushing B or C would probably be better but is a riskier strategy as it's an all or nothing.

Titans weren't built to run such distances... I usually don't move more than 10 meters from where I spawn but I'll cap A if I happen to wander in that direction for the heavy drop.
-
You are AWARE that most matches flip the spawns at some point midmatch right? Just saying don't be a douchenozzle...some people are new to Iron Banner and some people just get spawned near A and you're only holding one zone...why not grab another. The issue is if you want to hold C. And if you're with a solid team it shouldn't matter what zone you hold. Solid teams will know to rush and cap C first...then make your way over to B with the nice new C to B sniper lane you have control of.

Tips to combat it Step 1, bring out your ghost Step 2, hold down triangle (or the Xbox equivalent) for a few seconds Step 3, when in orbit open the crucible playlist Step 4, select clash Step 5, launch into clash Profit Now you dealt with control with legos advice

I'd rather have a teammate that caps A (when needed) than I teammate that doesn't cap at all. the worst is when we have 2 zones and someone caps the 3rd & our team ends up losing all 3.
-
Because I'm a team player
-
..because it's the only one we can actually cap since matchmaking put me in a game of 4 on 6.
-
2 RepliesDrives me nuts! Ill be at c "sniping " with my super pox when three people from the other team spawn behind me. Then i respawn by a because an idiot wants to flip the spawn for no good reason!
-
2 RepliesHolding B and C is the superior sniping position on the map. However, if your team has no snipers or bad snipers, it is actually to your advantage to hold A and B. Its easier to hold A spawn point than C since there is virtually no pressure from the B side.
