My theory's they a guardians who ate to much ( greedy -blam!-s ) and were kicked from the tower and started to waddle around with there big shields and jet packs until they started an army and began being the second most retarded enemy of destiny so missions and strikes

U. U Gorgons are stupid. Can easily get past them if everyone just goes the same way and nobody tries to be an idiotic Invis hunter like a complete douche or jumps up onto the first rock where you see the first gorgon.
